The bow tie is a descendant of the tie. It was born out of the need to wear an accessory that is easier to wear than a tie that dangles from time to time during action. By the late 19th century, the bow tie was as much an everyday accessory as the tie. A bow tie is worn under a tuxedo or tailcoat for official events, concerts. Very often, movie and show actors perform in butterflies on stage. If you go to stand out with a bow tie, then you need to know, first of all, how to tie a bow tie.

- Throw the butterflies inside. Adjust the ends of the butterfly so that the right side is larger than the left. The left end will be called A, the right end B.
- Place end A over end B, forming a crosshair.
- Pull end A towards the neck and pass through the collar (butterflies).
- Fold end B in an accordion (letter Z).
- Put end A on top of the formed horizontally folded end B.
- Now try to fold end B as well as end A.
- Pull folded end B into the loop formed (formed in step 6).
- Stretch the resulting butterfly by the edges.
- Adjust the edges, making them even on both sides.
