The vast majority of men have limited storage space for their clothes. Typically, this is a medium-sized wardrobe with drawers for underwear / socks / accessories. In the worst case, generally half of the closet shared with the wife or girlfriend. However, things are accumulating more and more every day, and a couple, it has nowhere to go.
For these reasons, it is important to know how to choose the right clothes so that there is always something to wear and a place to store in a confined space. In my opinion, there is no better wardrobe that takes up little space, but which has clothes for all occasions.
How to choose clothes
In a fairly diverse climate, willy-nilly we have to have a set for summer and winter in the closet. This is a big difference between the CIS countries and Europe, where the temperature in the central part does not drop below -3 or -5 degrees Celsius, and the southern part is summer all year round. Therefore, in addition to shirts, coats and a pair of umbrellas, you need to have a sheepskin coat, felt boots, a woolen scarf, a fur hat, so that even -30 has something to warm up.
We already had a series of 3 articles (How to choose clothes for a man, part 1, part 2, part 3), where the most essential things and accessories for men are analyzed in detail. However, that list is more focused on the warm season or off-season, when the thermometer does not drop below 0 degrees.
Today I will try to collect a wardrobe and choose the right clothes in shape and color, so that you can easily assemble your wardrobe for the summer and winter periods. By the way, I recommend reading the article on how to correctly combine colors in clothes.
Formal wear
Navy blue classic suit – business attire for all seasons. It is best to buy a dark blue suit (read more about the color of the suits here), thread thickness 100 – 120 units, no more, no less.

Seasonal classic suit – one for winter, one for summer. Since site visitors come from warm and cold countries, choose the suit that suits your living conditions more.
It is best to choose a winter classic suit from gray tweed. Endless classics, in which you will always be irresistible. If you find a three-piece suit, it is better to take it.
It is better to choose a summer suit from very fine wool, linen, bold linen and wool. Summer suit color – beige, khaki, gray.
A dark blue blazer is an indispensable item for smart casual style. Here it is best to stick to the classic blazer version: dark blue, single-breasted, with 2 copper-colored buttons (possibly with an anchor on them). 
A white and light blue dress shirt is the standard business dress code. Only cotton shirts and good quality. The color is solid, without patches on the pockets (preferably without any pockets on the chest). For a change, you can get a pair of blue and burgundy striped shirts for a less formal and interesting look.

A tuxedo is an indispensable item for very special occasions. There is nothing more festive than a tuxedo, but not everyone will find it useful. If you are not often in high society, you can simply rent a tuxedo.
Gray or brown woolen trousers. It's hard to imagine what you can wear to work at -30, if not in woolen trousers and warm thermal underwear.
Smart casual / universal clothing
Chinos are a versatile wardrobe item that suits any smart casual and casual look. The classic color can be called beige, but dark blue and gray chinos also look good.
Estimate how many dark blue, beige, gray and other colored things in your wardrobe and try to buy chinos of different colors. Otherwise, you will be completely in dark blue or completely in gray, which does not look very interesting.
Dark blue or indigo jeans with selvedge denim. These jeans are more expensive than regular jeans, but this is a good investment, considering that jeans will last for years.
Cotton shorts are a must-have item for a man's summer wardrobe. From the color I can recommend dark blue, beige, olive.
Casual shirt with a buttoned collar in a colored check. I will write an entire article shortly on the topic of fleece and casual shirts, as they are one of the symbols of casual style. It's hard to imagine a teenager or student who didn't have at least one plaid shirt in their wardrobe.
V-neck jumper or cardigan in wool or cashmere. The best can be called such colors as: gray, dark blue, beige, brown. You can read more about the men's sweater in our previous publications.
T-shirt with a round neck in white, black, gray or dark blue. It can be worn in the summer with jeans or as part of a blazer and chinos. The only thing is, try to buy T-shirts with not too “flashy” colors and patterns.

A polo shirt is a great option for summer. Choose a polo shirt without patches, maximum with a small emblem on the chest. Colors: white, beige, dark blue, gray.
Sweater with a round collar made of natural wool. A convenient option for trips during the cold season for various business.
Classic woolen coat in black, gray or beige. In the fall or early spring, there is no more popular outerwear for a man than a coat.

Sheepskin coat of medium and long length to cover the bottom edge of the jacket. The color is classic black or brown, the main thing is that the sheepskin coat is on natural fur.
Footwear
White classic sneakers are irreplaceable casual style shoes. In fact, white sneakers fit both jeans and classic trousers (a bit risky option, but it has a place to be), so there should be one pair in your wardrobe.

Classic black boots or beige work boots. These shoes are suitable for both casual and smart casual style.
Valenki – when all other shoes are useless, but you need to go out and not freeze. Of course, you won't go to work in them, but to go to the store or on business, that's what you need.
Seasonal clothing and accessories
A scarf is a must have for every man. A cotton or linen scarf is suitable for summer; a woolen or cashmere scarf will keep your neck warm from the cold in winter. Be sure to learn how to tie your scarf properly.
Black or dark blue woolen hat. Alternatively, purchase a colored hat with a pom-pom for a casual, casual dress code.
Leather gloves are excellent protection against cold winds in the off-season. In winter, choose a glove that is warmer, such as sheepskin.
Woolen socks will be an excellent protection from the cold if you suddenly gather in a suit and summer shoes for a New Year's corporate party or any holiday.
Thermal underwear is an irreplaceable thing that will warm you in the winter season. There are different compositions of fabrics for both athletes and business people. Which one to choose is up to you, all options are divided according to the density of the material, you can choose which one suits you best.
Panama is a hat that will protect you from sunstroke and add style to your summer look. Choose classic beige, white or olive.
Sunglasses are a mast have accessory in the summer. Good glasses are expensive, so don't be stingy to buy a model from a well-known brand so as not to spoil your eyesight from bad glasses. By the way, we have prepared an infographic that makes it easy for a man to choose glasses.
A linen shirt is a great clothing option for very hot weather. Linen is excellent for air permeability, while protecting the skin from the sun, preventing you from burning.
In conclusion
Of course, this list is not exhaustive and here you can add a couple of dozen or even more wardrobe items. However, with this checklist, you can start putting together your own wardrobe, starting to understand how to choose the right clothes for winter and summer.
Some of you will prefer other colors than I recommended above. It's okay, just remember that it is important to correctly combine colors in clothes so as not to look ridiculous in yellow sneakers, burgundy chinos and a dark blue blazer. Experiment with the colors of shirts, T-shirts and polos, the rest is better to get classic colors.
