White socks for sports
If you are going to wear shoes, do not wear sports socks, regardless of their color. It's not even a matter of color. The fact is that sports socks are often made of dense fabric (cotton or special synthetic materials) and a textured pattern. They, as a rule, after a few steps accumulate like an accordion and look very strange with classic shoes. Moreover, your feet will feel uncomfortable in sports socks and shoes, it is better to wear thin and easily ventilated socks. Choose your socks according to their purpose, otherwise you will look ridiculous.
Socks should match the color of your trousers (pants)
If you wear classic trousers or pants (except jeans), then the main color of your socks is dictated by them, and not the color of the shoes, as many assume. Under black trousers, obviously, black socks should be worn, while brown socks should be worn under brown trousers. The same rule is true for blue and gray trousers. If the color of the pants is unusual, try to match socks of similar shades. When in doubt, a darker shade is generally better. This rule is explained simply. Update your socks
Buy new socks to replace old ones at least a couple of times a year (2-3 pairs). Ordinary socks are not that expensive (in my memory, 150-200 rubles per pair). After frequent use and washing, socks quickly lose their original appearance. They are rubbed, torn and 'pellets' are collected on them. I don't think it's worth reminding you that your socks should be – no holes, period. It was possible to darn the same hole 2-3 times at a time when socks were in short supply in stores, but now you can buy them for 50 rubles in a nearby building. Respect yourself and your feet, and do not allow holey socks, and I am sure you will not have to blush visiting a girl (woman) by taking off your shoes after a date.
Don't wear long socks with shorts
Another rule for men is not to wear long socks with shorts. In addition to breaking the rules of etiquette, you visually cut your legs almost in half, as a result of which you will look shorter than you really are. It is even worse if you are wearing long knee socks and long breeches. Such an image looks very depressing. If you wear shorts, and cannot wear shoes without socks (wearing, for example, sneakers or moccasins), then take care of buying short socks, wearing which, you slightly cover the ankle. And one more small rule – never, under any circumstances, wear socks with sandals. This is bad form and only works for the grandfathers in the village.
Take off your socks in bed
Probably everyone has heard that girls get very angry when guys jump into bed. Without taking off your socks. Generally, many are of the opinion that it is best to take off your socks when it comes to sex. Once again, I think it's not worth making your partner nervous and giving cause for doubts.
