Skykitchen

Rating: 4.9

Skykitchen

We have awarded the first place in our rating to the restaurant with the original name Skykitchen – 'Heavenly cuisine'. Here you really feel like heaven, both literally (the institution is located on the 12th floor) and figuratively – the taste of culinary masterpieces offered at Skykitchen is truly divine. The impeccable skill of the chefs is confirmed by two Michelin stars – the highest award in the restaurant world.

Combining contrasts is the main concept of the 'Heavenly Kitchen'. It is embodied not only in the menu, but also in the interior. The kitchen area is located in the center of the hall, and small tables and banquet groups are around. This approach allowed us to open a magnificent panoramic view of Berlin from all sides. Custom-made furnishings are combined with antiques to make Skykitchen feel warm and cozy. A great place to spend an unforgettable evening in Berlin.

Grand

Rating: 4.8

Grand

The Grand restaurant is located in a historic building in the very center of Berlin, near the Museum Island, the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz. The institution specializes in French and German cuisine. The main 'trick' is grilled meat dishes. Also, the restaurant has a huge selection of alcoholic beverages.

But Grand attracts not only with its delicious cuisine, which includes a full list of dishes – from soups to dessert snacks. Here, a simple, but at the same time very refined interior, thought out to the smallest detail. Leather sofas, oak chairs, huge chandeliers, snow-white tablecloths, minimal decor without frills and pretentiousness – everything here contributes to pacification, tranquility and enjoyment of food.

The place is suitable for any event, from a business meeting to a romantic dinner or celebration of any important event.

Capt'n Schillow

Rating: 4.7

Capt'n Schillow

The Capt'n Schillow restaurant is located in the most picturesque corner of Berlin – the Charlottenburg district. A significant part of the menu is traditional 'sea' cuisine, which, however, is not surprising. After all, the institution is open on board an old ship moored off the coast of the Landwehr Canal. The steamer 'Capt'n Schillow' made its last voyage in 1996, and for almost 22 years it has been hosting guests in the restaurant. By the way, this century-old ship was visited by Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and other celebrities, which the team is very proud of and tries to constantly keep its reputation at the highest level.

The interior is decorated in a nautical style. In warm weather, you can choose a table on the deck and enjoy the view of the river as steamboats and river trams pass by.

A great place for a family or romantic dinner, get-togethers with friends, birthday celebrations.

Facil

The Facil restaurant is another Berlin star-bearer of the famous Michelin star. This place will certainly be appreciated by those who are tired of monotony in food and banal tastes. Facil chefs manage to create truly extraordinary dishes, and at the same time simply delicious in taste. The local craftsmen turn even the most ordinary everyday dish into a masterpiece, thanks to the addition of unconventional ingredients, special spices, and sophisticated sophisticated sauces. This restaurant is literally a paradise for gourmets who want to diversify their experience and try something completely unexpected.

The establishment is located in the center of Berlin, in the courtyard of the 'The Mandala Hotel'. Heising

Rating: 4.6

Heising

Heising is a small, cozy restaurant with an emphasis on French cuisine. However, this is quite understandable: the owners are a French couple, who have been treating guests with national dishes of their homeland for 30 years.

This unremarkable outside institution is located in the center of west Berlin. You can get here only by appointment – there are only 8 tables in Heising, and almost always a full house.

We included Heising in our rating for several reasons. First, the food is fantastic here. Secondly, the menu is truly delicious. Thirdly, the interior of the restaurant is absolutely stunning, as are the other details that create a special charm of conservatism: china dishes with a monogram, a handwritten bill, the ability to pay only in cash. And finally, a kind family atmosphere, when each visitor is greeted like a loved one who dropped by to have dinner with close friends.

Advantages

  • Delicacies (foie gras, snails, frog legs, deer, pigeon, etc.)
  • Very loyal prices for a gourmet restaurant (average bill 50-60 Euro).
  • Excellent serving and serving.
  • Aristocratic setting.
  • Helpful staff.
  • Nice, calm retro music.

disadvantages

  • The need to book with a significant margin of time, since there may not be free places for the desired date.
  • A small selection of dishes on the menu (usually from 20 to 24 positions).
  • Accepting only cash, which is inconvenient for some visitors.

Marjellchen

Rating: 4.6

Marjellchen

The Marjellchen restaurant is the best place for those who prefer classic German cuisine. This is one of the few establishments where you can taste national culinary creations in their standard form. At Marjellchen, you will find that the original German cuisine is delicious and varied. Berlin-style liver, pork shank, smoked fish and other traditional delicacies are prepared here. Desserts are no less delicious – apple strudel, pudding, eclairs, donuts with jam.

Hospitality and family atmosphere are not the only trump cards of the restaurant. The hostess personally communicates with each guest, talks about the history of the establishment and makes every effort to make everyone happy.

The interior of Marjellchen is made in European style. There is no abundance of decorative details, everything is quite simple, but at the same time tasteful. In addition to a closed hall, the restaurant has a veranda where you can relax perfectly in warm weather.

Advantages

  • Availability of vegetarian, children's, gluten-free dishes on the menu.
  • Large portions.
  • Very nice prices (average bill is 15-25 Euro).
  • Friendly staff and fast service.
  • Menu in English and Russian.

disadvantages

  • The institution is open only in the evening (from 17.00 to 23.30).
  • Visitors note that it is too stuffy inside in hot weather.
  • There is no Wi-Fi (and not planned for the future – this is the 'policy' of the restaurant).

Marron

Rating: 4.5

Marron

This very stylish restaurant is located in the Villa Kastania hotel. The small hall can accommodate up to 45 people at a time. The cozy environment is conducive to relaxation and delicious food. There is actually an extraordinary atmosphere here. A huge fireplace, an antique piano and many other details, thanks to which Marron more closely resembles an aristocratic living room of the century before last, than a gastronomic establishment. This is the perfect place for a romantic date, and not only because of the entourage. The restaurant has an excellent selection of dishes that will decorate the most sophisticated lunch or dinner.

Marron specializes in traditional German cuisine using local, seasonal produce. Therefore, the menu is frequently updated, and guests can try original interpretations of classic recipes.

Advantages

  • A varied menu that includes both classic dishes and original variations.
  • Children's and vegetarian meals.
  • High level of service.
  • Loyal prices.

disadvantages

  • The restaurant's kitchen is open only from 17.00 to 22.30.
