Method number 1 – magic lemon
Lemon juice or in its absence – citric acid allows you to easily cope with grease contamination and at the same time eliminates all unpleasant odors. By the way, if the microwave is covered with enamel inside, you should not abuse this method.
What you need: 0.5 liters of water, 1 tbsp. a spoonful of citric acid or 4 tbsp. tablespoons of lemon juice + the remains of used citrus, capacity.
Cleaning process: pour water into a container, then add acid or add lemon juice along with its leftovers. Put in the microwave for 3-5 minutes (set the maximum power). After the end of the 'work' of the heated composition, do not take it out immediately (wait 10-15 minutes). Then remove the remaining grease from the walls with a cloth.
Method number 2 – steam power
Some microwave models have a built-in steam self-cleaning option. If you are lucky and you are the owner of one of these appliances, you can easily and quickly clean the microwave of fat (but only if it is not yet old). If you cannot boast of such a function, do not be discouraged, try the next method.
What you need: 0.5-1 l of water, container.
Cleaning process: Pour water into a bowl and place it in the microwave. Turn it on for a few minutes (power at maximum). When exposed to steam from heated water, light pollution will quickly 'surrender'. All that remains is to wipe the walls of the chamber.
Method number 3 – powerful vinegar
If you have forgotten the last time you cleaned the microwave from fatty deposits, you need to use 'heavy artillery': the vinegar solution will quickly and effectively deal with old fat. But there is one 'but' – in the process of working with the composition, the room should be thoroughly ventilated to avoid the accumulation of an acidic smell.
What you need: a deep container, 0.5 liters of water, 2 tbsp. tablespoons of 9% vinegar.
Cleaning process: first of all, open the window for ventilation so that fresh air can circulate freely, removing the acid smell from the room. Mix the vinegar with water and put the container in the oven for a couple of minutes at maximum power. After turning off the device, keep the composition inside a little more so that the vinegar fumes thoroughly dissolve the dirt on the walls of the device. Now it is enough to walk on the surface of the camera with a sponge and then thoroughly rinse everything with clean water.
IMPORTANT! If the inside of your microwave oven is coated with enamel, do not abuse the above method of removing grease from the surface of the appliance.
Method number 4 – remove fat with soda
Although abrasives cannot be used to remove grease from the inside of the microwave, the non-contact method can be used. When heated, baking soda, combined with water, settles on the walls of the chamber as condensation, thereby dissolving the contamination.
What you need: a container, 0.5 liters of water, 1 tbsp. spoon of baking soda.
Cleaning process: pour water into a plate, add soda, stir thoroughly until it is completely dissolved. Put in the microwave, setting the timer for 2-5 minutes (maximum power mode). After turning off the microwave, do not rush to take out the soda solution: leave it inside for a couple of minutes. Then all that remains is to wipe the walls with a sponge (if necessary, you can remove the remaining dirt with the same soda composition).
Method number 5 – we solve the problem with detergent
Remember that abrasives are prohibited, so, of course, we are talking about liquid dishwashing detergent. This option for cleansing the microwave from grease is only suitable if the surface is not very dirty.
What you need: dishwashing liquid, flat plate, sponge (non-metallic), some water.
Cleaning process: moisten the sponge with plenty of water, apply a detergent the size of a 2-ruble coin onto it, and lather thoroughly. Put on a plate and send to the microwave chamber for half a minute (power is at a minimum!). watch the appearance of the product (it should not melt). After turning off the microwave oven, remove the sponge and use it to wipe all the walls from softened dirt. Then rinse the surface of the camera with clean water.
