A few years ago OLED – TVs were terribly expensive. For a model with a decent diagonal, they could easily ask for over half a million rubles! Now the situation has changed. The manufacturing technology of such TVs becomes cheaper, and therefore the price tag of the devices themselves is lowered. However, because of this, models began to appear that make you regret the money spent. To keep out of trouble, check out our selection of exclusively the best OLED TVs. We will talk about both models with a relatively small screen, and about real monsters with at least a 65-inch OLED panel.

Best OLED – 50-55 inch TVs

LG OLED 55B8

Rating: 4.9

LG OLED 55B8

Our selection starts with devices that can fit even in a relatively small room. As you know, OLED – TVs are never small. So far, manufacturers are not going to release models for the kitchen or children's room. The smallest OLED TV on sale right now has a 55-inch display. This is the screen that LG OLED 55B8 has. This means that for comfortable viewing you need to be two meters from the screen. Therefore, the purchase will look perfect in the bedroom, but in the living room the TV may seem too small.

The device looks very nice. You don't want to hang it on the wall at all, since the TV has a very nice stand. As for the frame, it turned out to be extremely narrow – you don't pay attention to it at all when watching a movie. Well, on the back of the device there are all the necessary connectors: a trinity of USB ports, a quadruple HDMI and one Ethernet socket for those who have not yet acquired a router with support for the Wi-Fi 802.11ac standard.

As you know, now there is no OLED – televisions, the screen of which would have a low resolution. Here, too, a 4K picture awaits the buyer. Color reproduction is ideal, blacks are as deep as possible. Aspect ratio is standard so YouTube videos do not have black bars. And yet the support for HDR should please – if the video has an extended color range, then you will get the most realistic image.

Finishing the conversation about the display, one cannot fail to mention that its refresh rate has been brought to 100 Hz. Using the software method, you can make the picture even smoother. In a word, this is quite good for, one might say, a budget OLED TV set that can be bought for only 100 thousand rubles.

It uses webOS as the operating system. Like many TVs LG, this model works without any stuttering. She is also capable of boasting a gorgeous sound. The manufacturer has introduced as many as four speakers with a power of 10 watts. Low frequencies are also felt well, and therefore many buyers do not even think about connecting a home theater with a separate subwoofer.

As befits a modern TV, LG OLED 55B8 supports all digital TV standards. You can simultaneously connect an aerial antenna and a satellite dish. Well, external drives – flash drives and hard drives – are connected to USB ports. Absolutely all media files are recognized – you can even run folders with the contents of Blu-ray discs. The only limitation is the number of audio tracks. If there are more than ten of them, and Russian is only the eleventh or even later, then you cannot choose it. This is a webOS bug that still can't be fixed.

The TV set comes with a MagicRemote remote control powered by two AA batteries. It can be used like a pointer, although it is often much easier to select any element of the interface with the usual button presses. The remote also has a built-in microphone that recognizes voice commands. Searching on YouTube is easier with your voice than choosing letter by letter.

Received OLED – TV and Bluetooth – module. This means that you can output sound to a wireless headset without any problems. By the way, wired headphones cannot be used – there is no corresponding connector. But we will not even include this fact in the list of shortcomings, since connecting wired headphones to such a huge TV is nonsense.

As mentioned above, the product has a beautiful stand. However, if you still want to hang it on the wall, then no one will forbid you to do this – you only need a VESA mount that corresponds to the 300×200 mm standard. You can even cope with the task alone, since the weight of the TV without a stand does not exceed 16.3 kg.

Advantages

  • The cost cannot be called prohibitive;
  • OLED – the display has a refresh rate of 100 Hz;
  • 4K resolution;
  • Stable operating system;
  • Support for all digital TV standards has been implemented;
  • A huge number of connectors;
  • Great sounding;
  • There are modules Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11ac;
  • Voice control is possible;
  • Low weight.

disadvantages

  • Few useful third-party apps.

Sony KD-55AF8

Rating: 4.8

Sony KD-55AF8

Small OLED – the TV is also in the assortment of the Japanese company Sony. This model features extremely narrow bezels. The stand is also very interestingly implemented – it seems to end with itself OLED – a panel, almost without increasing the height of the TV. Of course, the device can also be hung on the wall – for this you need a VESA mount of 300×200 mm. The TV weighs only 18.7 kg without a stand, so you can mount it on the wall without the help of a second person.

This model is powered by a powerful X1 Extreme processor. It is not difficult for him to 'finish painting' the missing frames, making the picture smoother. But this is not the main 'trick' of the TV. The Japanese introduced support for Acoustic Surface technology into it. In total, the sound is output from five speakers. There is even a full-fledged subwoofer here! At some moments, it seems as if the sound envelops you. If you place the TV in the right place, you won't need an additional speaker system. Only the total power of the speakers, which does not exceed 50 watts, can confuse someone. However, this is more than enough for a bedroom and a relatively small living room. And in larger rooms there is no point in placing OLED – a TV with a 55-inch screen – it is better to purchase a model with a dozen more inches larger.

As expected, the TV shows the image in 4K resolution. Of course, there is support for HDR. OLED – the matrix displays a huge amount of colors – in HDR mode, you will see exactly what the director of the film or the studio that created the game intended. The refresh rate increased to 100 Hz also contributes to the realistic display. The aforementioned processor can make the picture even smoother, but it is better to refuse to activate this function, otherwise from time to time you will notice artifacts in the frame.

Of course, the TV has a Smart TV function, like the rest of this rating. Unfortunately, Sony doesn't have its own operating system. But Android 8.0 also feels great here – the used components provide excellent performance. And it would be strange if the TV set for 200 thousand rubles would regularly slow down! As you know, a huge number of applications have been developed for Android. Even if we consider only those that are adapted for installation on televisions, the choice will amaze the imagination.

This model supports all digital TV standards. This means that through this TV you can watch DVB-T2, 'cable' and 'satellite'. No digital set-top boxes or receivers are required. It is recommended to connect other devices to Sony KD-55AF8, for example, an action camera or game console. A very large number of devices can be connected at the same time. There are as many as four HDMI sockets installed here! Well, three USB ports allow you to power some individual gadgets and view media data on an external drive. Of course, the TV supports not only flash drives, but also external hard drives, no matter how large they are.

Of course, you can use more than just a wired connection. For example, if you have a good router, this model allows you to access the Internet at a very high speed. Also, the manufacturer has not forgotten about the Bluetooth – a module primarily needed to transmit sound to headphones. Well, Miracast support can turn a TV into a monitor that works in the same wireless mode.

Inside this device is 16 GB of permanent memory. This volume is used exclusively for installing third-party applications. But in general, this model leaves only positive impressions. Although you can still make a claim. Firstly, not all programs that are available on Google Play are installed on the TV – this is due to the fact that Sony is actively fighting against pirated content. Secondly, voice control works very poorly here – it is felt that the Japanese almost did not work in this direction. Thirdly, the channel switching here is somewhat slow – at some moments it infuriates. Fourthly, a fairly large number of defective copies were released, on the screen of which, after a few months of use, a bright annoying strip suddenly appears.

Advantages

  • Gorgeous image quality;
  • Increased screen refresh rate;
  • All kinds of digital TV are supported;
  • Good audio system, including a woofer;
  • A huge number of connectors;
  • There is support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth;
  • Great design.

disadvantages

  • A large percentage of defects;
  • Problems with firmware and application installation;
  • Very high cost.

Best OLED – 58-65 inch TVs

Sony KD-65AF9

Rating: 4.9

Sony KD-65AF9

Another Sony TV in our ranking. This model is the freshest – it appeared in stores quite recently. An even more minimalist stand is used here. When the TV is on a stand, this stand is not visible at all – it is all hidden behind the device! Of course, you can get rid of the stand by hanging the TV on the wall. In this case, the buyer will need a VESA mount with a size of 400×200 mm. The device turned out to be rather big, so it is better to use the help of a second person – the weight of this model reaches 27.5 kg.

Like 99% of other OLED TVs in existence today, the Sony KD-65AF9 has 4K resolution. Despite the high cost, the screen of this device has a standard refresh rate. This is due to its large size – it is almost impossible to achieve 100 Hz or more from such a matrix. However, many filmmakers recommend watching their creations at standard frame rates, and this TV will primarily be used to solve this problem. However, we must admit that the device performs well in conjunction with other devices – for example, with the PlayStation 4 Pro game console from the same Sony. For wired connections, four HDMI sockets, three USB ports and now outdated 'tulips' are used.

You can connect your TV to a router using the RJ-45 port. But if your router supports the Wi-Fi 802.11ac standard, then it is better to use a wireless connection. And somewhere in the bowels of the TV is hidden Bluetooth – a module. It is needed to output sound to the appropriate headphones.

Well, how does this model sound? Do I need to buy a home theater? Perhaps this is not at all necessary. The TV set includes six 13 W speakers and two more 10 W speakers. Such a speaker system perfectly emits both high and middle, and, most importantly, low frequencies. Acoustic Surface technology Audi o + helps you achieve surround sound. But if your sofa is located far enough from the TV, then full 5.1 or 7.1 acoustics will still not hurt. But the soundbar will definitely be superfluous – you will not feel a special improvement in sound quality, but you will spend a lot of money. Although nothing beats the amount that is asked for the TV itself – it's 400 thousand rubles.

It remains to add that this model defines any digital TV standards without any problems. This means that the user will definitely not need a set-top box or receiver to watch TV. Well, if we talk about the shortcomings, then they are practically absent. Not everyone will like Android, which is used here as the operating system. But this is the only trouble for Sony, which at one time was never able to buy or develop any OS that could be optimized for use on a TV. But it is Sony engineers who manage to achieve the best picture quality and attractive design.

Advantages

  • Unusual appearance when installed on a pedestal;
  • Outstanding image quality;
  • Incredibly thin bezels
  • All digital TV standards are supported;
  • The total power of the speakers is 98 W;
  • A large number of connectors are located on the back wall;
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11ac are supported.

disadvantages

  • Not very high refresh rate;
  • The operating system will not suit everyone;
  • Not the best voice control;
  • Very high cost.

LG OLED 65B8

Rating: 4.8

LG OLED 65B8

It must be admitted that it is the company LG Display that produces the largest number of full-size OLED – panels. Therefore, it should not be surprising that OLED – TVs LG are gradually becoming more affordable. For example, for LG OLED 65B8 they ask 170-207 thousand rubles, depending on whether there is a sale in the selected store. Not a bad price tag for a device with a OLED 64.5-inch (164 cm) screen.

Following current trends, the TV has received an extremely thin bezel. Despite its large size and heavy weight, the device can still stand on a pedestal using an elegant D-shaped stand. Also, the product is able to boast of the webOS operating system, with the help of which smart functionality is implemented. This firmware is known for its easy learning curve. Unfortunately, its main problem remains – in the corresponding online store you will find no more than a hundred applications, of which only two or three are really useful. But the operating system works without any brakes.

OLED – The screen of this TV produces an excellent 4K picture. Wide color gamut allows you to fully enjoy the HDR effect. It should also be noted that the South Koreans managed to increase the screen refresh rate to 100 Hz. It is felt most strongly in films filled with action or sharp camera turns. Also, such a TV will definitely be appreciated by the owners of modern game consoles.

If we are talking about external sources of the image, then four HDMI connectors and three USB ports are intended for their connection. You can also use Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Miracast technology, thus displaying a picture from a laptop or even a desktop computer. It also contains Bluetooth. Usually, wireless headphones are connected with it. It is also with this technology that the sound is output to external acoustics that support this method of signal reception.

Do I need to buy a soundbar or home theater? Each TV owner must answer this question independently. The fact is that a system of four speakers with a power of 10 watts is used here. It seems that this is enough for most rooms. But if the TV is installed in a restaurant hall or other similar room, then such acoustics may not be enough.

An excellent remote control is supplied with this model, which includes a gyroscope and a microphone. Voice control works without any problems – this is how you can search for content and find out the weather forecast.

Advantages

  • Still a good speaker system that includes a subwoofer;
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11ac are supported;
  • A large number of connectors are built in;
  • The operating system runs smoothly;
  • Increased display refresh rate;
  • There is support for all digital TV standards;
  • The TV is not very heavy (weight is 21 kg).

disadvantages

  • High price;
  • Wobbly construction;
  • Few third-party apps.

The best OLED – TVs over 65 inches

Sony KD-77A1

Rating: 4.9

Sony KD-77A1

This representative of our rating does not feel in the best way on the curbstone. The fact is that a specific stand is used here. She is completely hidden behind the TV. But because of this design, the device will be constantly tilted. Come to think of it, it's a good idea if the bollard is very low. But if you sit far enough from the TV, then even this option will not suit you. Do not put the TV on the floor because of this? Why not? In some cases, a device with a 76.7-inch screen (and this is, for a minute, 195 cm) is the right place on the floor. However, most often this model is hung on the wall. For this, a VESA mount of 400×300 mm is used, which, of course, must be purchased separately. By the way, the TV weighs 37.8 kg – you need to hang it together.

This model has a very high power consumption, reaching 765 watts. It's not an iron yet, but it's bigger than an average computer. However, if most of the time you have no one at home, then it is unlikely that your electricity bills will rise too much. As for the OLED – display, it boasts incredibly deep blacks. It produces a huge amount of color, which is especially felt when watching high-quality HDR content. The image is displayed in 4K resolution. Most importantly, the Japanese managed to increase the refresh rate to 120 Hz, making any video look great here. Smooth picture is also provided in games. Such a high parameter has only one drawback. It lies in the astronomical price tag. Even if the panel used here OLED was a 50-hertz panel, because of such a huge size, it would in any case lead to a great cost. Well, Sony KD-77A1 costs exactly 1 million rubles, and somewhere even more expensive!

Of course, such a device without any problems recognizes all types of digital TV – from terrestrial to satellite. But much more often this TV will be used to view content from external sources. There are four HDMI sockets and three USB ports for their connection. The operating system Android understands flash drives and external hard drives without any problems. It also allows you to watch content over the Internet. The connection to the router is carried out using a wire or the 802.11ac standard. And the TV also includes Bluetooth – a module needed to transmit sound to headphones or other wireless audio equipment.

If we talk about acoustics, then Sony almost did not work on it, although this seems to be its strong point. Four ordinary 10 W speakers and a subwoofer of a similar power are built here. The Japanese understood that almost all buyers will acquire additional 5.1 or even 7.1 speakers. Its cost against the background of such a TV will seem like a penny.

Advantages

  • Huge OLED – screen with perfect color reproduction;
  • Refresh rate increased to 120 Hz;
  • Understands all digital TV standards;
  • A huge number of connectors;
  • Implemented support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi;
  • There is a wired headphone jack.

disadvantages

  • Astronomical price tag;
  • The operating system Android will not suit everyone;
  • Not the best acoustics;
  • High power consumption.

LG OLED 77G7V

Rating: 4.8

LG OLED 77G7V

Another huge OLED TV is in our ranking. It has a 77-inch (196 cm) display at its disposal. Again, the massiveness helped LG Electronics lower the price tag. You will not be asked for a million. You can buy this model for 'only' 800 thousand rubles. In fact, this is probably a tolerable amount for some successful restaurant or other similar establishment.

The TV displays the picture in 4K resolution. The beauty comes out – indescribable, especially when watching HDR content. But the billion displayed colors is not the only merit of the panel used here OLED. The South Koreans have brought the screen refresh rate to 120 Hz, and this also feels good. In a word, movies with action scenes will be liked by someone here more than when watching them in a real cinema! It should also be noted that this TV belongs to the 'Image-on-Glass' family. This means that the picture seems to go beyond the frame – this is how the effect is created here. And it also speaks about the minimum thickness of the device – the TV is really not thicker than ordinary glass. The exception is its lower part, which is attached to the stand. Without this part, the TV would simply not be possible to hang on the wall. Do not use glue for this?

This device is powered by webOS. Yes, this operating system is not capable of boasting a huge number of applications. But on the other hand, it does not slow down at all, and the buyer of such a monster needs high performance. For control, the already familiar Magic Remote control is used, which includes not only a gyroscope, but also a microphone. Especially for the TVs of this series, the South Koreans have endowed the accessory with a more stylish design – down with the annoying black plastic!

There is a full soundbar in the TV stand. It's wireless, so wall-mounting doesn't get in the way – the soundbar can be placed anywhere below. Support for Dolby Atmos technology indicates that the buyer is waiting for a surround and very loud sound. Whatever one may say, but many owners of this TV are unlikely to be interested in buying an additional speaker system.

Perhaps there is no point in writing in detail about the possibility of connecting external devices. For this, there is a standard set at this cost, consisting of three USB ports and four HDMI sockets. To access the Internet, the Wi-Fi 802.11ac standard is used, which is characterized by high speed. There is also Bluetooth.

Perhaps this is an excellent TV that will definitely suit any buyer. He ends our rating only because of its large size – as you may have noticed, we went from compact to much larger OLED – TVs.

Advantages

  • Wonderful remote control;
  • The set includes a soundbar stand;
  • There is a light sensor;
  • There is support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11ac;
  • A huge number of connectors;
  • Supplemented with a headphone jack;
  • All digital TV standards are supported;
  • Huge screen with gorgeous picture quality;
  • High refresh rate;
  • The operating system does not slow down;
  • Very thin.

disadvantages

  • Weight reaches 54.1 kg;
  • Not a very large number of applications;
  • Scary high cost.

Conclusion

As you may have noticed, only products from Sony and LG are included in our rating. This is because only these manufacturers have access to large OLED screens. No, sometimes less successful companies release something, but usually their TVs quickly disappear from store shelves, and it is impossible to call them worthy of purchase.
