A significant part of office workers, despite the fact that they spend the whole working day indoors, would nevertheless gladly exchange a business suit for something more comfortable like a sweater, jumper, cardigan. The reason for this is quite simple. Knitted clothes are more comfortable, have some relaxation and, in the end, they are elementary warmer, because not all rooms are heated properly during the cold season. Leaving only classic trousers and a shirt from a formal dress code, the image at first glance remains quite businesslike. But is it?

Should you be afraid of a boss who fiercely fights for discipline and does not allow you to deviate from the corporate dress code? Or maybe comfort comes first?
Many companies are very jealous of the observance of the dress code by their employees, rightly believing that strict dress disciplines and, due to its inconvenience, keeps them always on their toes. In an effort to stay within the dress code, but at the same time to ensure a comfortable working environment, employees go to some tricks, donning jerseys, while being careful not to irritate their boss.
Women's clothing is much more diverse than men's, and the weaker sex, skillfully using this. Girls combine various elements of their women's wardrobe in such a way as not to go beyond the business style and at the same time choose convenient and comfortable clothes for themselves. Allowing himself to put on a jumper in the office, a man should try to walk along the very edge that separates business style from, let's say, non-business, informal. Let me remind you that a jumper is a knitted product that is worn over the head, since it has no zipper, no buttons, or even a collar. Obligatory with long sleeves, otherwise it is already a regular sweater.
In order not to cause discontent on the part of the boss, it is necessary, when choosing a knitted product for work, immediately sweep aside the coarse-knit sweaters with a high neck, large and bright patterns. These sweaters are more suitable for a ski resort, but not for office work. The jumper should not hang in a bag, be too wide and voluminous. Putting on jersey to work in the office, you should not try to stand out from the rest of the workers, but, on the contrary, you should disguise yourself among them. Allowing yourself liberty for comfort and warmth, you need to at the same time make a 'curtsey' towards the boss, choosing a discreet thing.
Making a departure from the formal dress code, you need to choose such a jersey so that it goes well with the suit and shoes, not being a separate element, but naturally complementing the image and forming a single ensemble. Blue, green and gray jumper colors are suitable for this. A light-colored jumper will look good with a light suit, milky color with a light beige suit.
A jumper that does not have a collar requires the most serious attitude to the choice of a shirt under it (if there is such a need). A product with a deep neckline, V-shaped or round, requires a shirt, but you can do without a jacket. If the jumper is up to the neck, then it can be worn without a shirt, but a jacket is required in this case.
Business fashion, being an integral part of big fashion, although it is its most conservative offshoot, undergoes changes over time. In the business environment, the jumper has not yet won a firm and unshakable position, but is gradually taking its place in offices. In some cases, employees are not required to wear a formal business suit, and then a jumper is just the thing. Or the bosses make some indulgences for workers in connection with a sharp cold snap, and this also contributes to the promotion of this product. By the way, the Friday dress code is also common among many companies.
This gives some hope for the assumption that over time, jumpers will find a compromise with the requirements of dress codes. Of course, this applies to countries with a climate that does not allow residents to do without knitwear. Russia as well.
