Laptop computers are still in high demand. Whatever one may say, but tablets with smartphones cannot provide the user with the widest possible possibilities. They cannot run full-fledged Adobe Photoshop, and it is almost impossible to do 3D modeling on them. Even simple typing on a tablet computer is associated with certain inconveniences. In short, professionals prefer to work on laptops. And these are not always expensive monsters, often the choice of people falls on unpretentious working machines, the cost of which does not exceed 20,000 rubles. It is about them that will be discussed in this collection.

HP 15-bs000

Rating: 4.7

HP 15-bs000

Our rating opens a laptop, which most of the time is sold for 23-24 thousand rubles. But during all kinds of sales, it can easily be purchased for the price tag indicated by us in the title of the article. Unlike the other models reviewed today, it comes in eight color options. An unexpected abundance! Even the most popular smartphones rarely come in so many colors!

Of course, it is not only the color of the case that can differ in different versions of the laptop. Many modifications of the HP 15-bs000 were born, with completely different chipsets, memory sizes and screens built into them. Be aware that in any case, you will get a laptop with a display that is 15.6 inches diagonal, and the device will weigh about 2 kg. The quality of the screen may differ. Unfortunately, the cheapest versions of the laptop received a modest matrix with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Do you want to enjoy a picture with a resolution Full HD, which will not distort from different viewing angles? In this case, you will have to fork out for a larger amount.

How else is the HP 15-bs000 budget variant different? First of all, the processor. The choice of the manufacturer fell on Intel Celeron – a dual-core chipset with a clock speed of less than 1.6 GHz. The amount of RAM is 4 GB. It starts with great difficulty on such components Windows 10, and therefore it is better to consider the option of installing the 'seven'. It is impossible to do without installing the operating system at all, since the initial version of the laptop is shipped without it (more precisely, it uses DOS).

Of course, there is no discrete graphics card in the laptop. Well, the capabilities of the integrated chip Intel HD Graphics are clearly not enough for any modern game. However, you did not expect to get it for 200,000 rubles. gaming laptop? The hard disk used here will also act as a certain limitation – its volume is only 500 GB. However, this is quite enough for the same work with documents. Well, there is no point in downloading 4K video from your action camera to such a laptop – there is a possibility that it simply won't play, and you don't even have to think about editing it.

To access the Internet, you can use several methods at once. First, there is an RJ-45 network port that supports gigabit speed. Secondly, there is a built-in Wi-Fi module that works with the 802.11n standard. And if we are talking about interfaces, then it should be noted that there is support Bluetooth 4.2. However, it is easier to connect headphones with a wired method – the corresponding connector has not gone anywhere from here. And on the ends of the laptop you can find a pair of USB 3.1 sockets, one older and slower USB 2.0, as well as an HDMI-out. The manufacturer also did not forget the card reader.

Otherwise, this is a typical inexpensive laptop equipped with a simple webcam and no fingerprint scanner. You should not expect wide possibilities from the device. Including this model will not please with any long battery life.

Advantages

  • High reliability;
  • High-speed USB ports are available;
  • There is a gigabit network card;
  • There is a card reader;
  • A large number of color options;
  • Someone might need a DVD drive.

disadvantages

  • Little RAM;
  • Low display resolution;
  • Supplied without Windows;
  • Weak processor;
  • No fingerprint scanner.

Lenovo Ideapad 330 15 Intel

Rating: 4.6

Lenovo Ideapad 330 15 Intel

Another laptop in the nomination up to 20,000 rubles, which exists in several variations. There are three color options for the buyer. However, if we talk about the cheapest modification, then it comes only in black. You should not expect impressive components from it. In particular, such a laptop will offer a standard 15.6-inch TN-matrix, which must be looked at at a right angle. However, not the most common one. Its resolution is 1920×1080 pixels, which allows you to comfortably watch YouTube videos and downloaded movies. The accompanying sound is produced by very high-quality stereo speakers. But if their capabilities seem few, or you don't want to wake up a person sleeping next to you, you can connect wired headphones. Supported here and Bluetooth – accessories.

On the ends of the laptop you can find not only a combo jack for a headset, but also other useful jacks. For example, a gigabit LAN port is used to connect to a router. But if you want to access the Internet from somewhere on the couch, then it is better to use the built-in Wi-Fi 802.11ac module. The laptop also includes two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 3.1 Type-C connector. The HDMI output is also not forgotten – it will come in handy if you want to display an image on a TV or monitor.

Of course, such an inexpensive laptop cannot use any powerful processor. The Chinese company made its choice in favor of Intel Celeron, and even a very simplified version of it. The clock speed of the dual-core chipset does not exceed 1100 MHz. Therefore, the solution of any complex tasks is beyond the capacity of a laptop. The device can be used for working with documents and viewing photos, but nothing more. Even Adobe Photoshop is difficult, let alone games. By the way, DOS is installed here by default. Therefore, after buying a laptop, you will have to attend to the installation Windows.

A traditional 500 GB hard drive is used for data storage. The laptop also received a card reader. This device weighs about 2.2 kg. Part of this mass is accounted for by the battery, which provides up to six hours of battery life. This is at best, in practice the charge often dries up much earlier.

Advantages

  • There is a card reader;
  • There is an HDMI-out;
  • There is a gigabit network card;
  • High-speed USB connectors available;
  • High resolution display;
  • Low cost.

disadvantages

  • Short battery life;
  • No fingerprint scanner;
  • Not very large viewing angles;
  • Weak processor;
  • Little RAM;
  • Supplied without operating system.

DELL 500

Rating: 4.5

DELL 500

This laptop is literally woven of merits and demerits. For example, this representative of our rating is able to boast of a sufficiently powerful processor. No, it also belongs to the Celeron line. However, this is already one of the most productive chipsets in this series – its clock frequency can reach an impressive 2130 MHz. However, this does not mean that you can easily run games or heavy applications on such a laptop. The point is that the modest accelerator Intel GMA X3100 is engaged in graphics processing. Its capacity is definitely not enough for games, even quite old ones. But an even greater limitation is 2 GB of DDR2 RAM. By the way, it is the amount of RAM that indicates that the laptop was released many years ago. This is confirmed by the fact that it is almost impossible to find it in Russian retail.

Like most of the laptops reviewed today, the DELL 500 has a display with a diagonal of 15.4 inches. This is a typical TN-matrix with very modest viewing angles. The screen resolution is 1280×800 pixels. Either Linux, or Windows XP, or Windows Vista deals with what is happening on the display – it all depends on what kind of modification you buy.

Someone might be most disappointed with the hard drive installed here. It has a volume of 120 GB, which is barely enough even for working with documents. Fortunately, in the future, no one bothers to remove the special cover and replace the HDD with a larger one. It can also be installed instead of the DVD drive present here, which is practically unnecessary in modern realities. But a card reader can come in handy – no one will argue with that.

The built-in Wi-Fi module is used here to access the Internet. However, do not count on high speed – it only supports the 802.11g standard. If you want to surf the internet faster, you'll need to use a wired connection. Also, don't expect USB 3.0 here – there are only three slower slots on the case. HDMI is completely absent here. However, the hardware of the laptop would not be able to process the picture in high resolution, which is why there is simply no point in displaying the image on a modern monitor or TV. Of course, there is no fingerprint sensor here either.

Advantages

  • A DVD drive will be useful to someone;
  • Very low cost;
  • Supplied with operating system;
  • There is a card reader;
  • There is a network port;
  • There is a built-in fax modem.

disadvantages

  • Weight reaches 2.7 kg;
  • Little RAM and permanent memory;
  • No HDMI connector;
  • There is no fingerprint scanner;
  • Low speed USB ports;
  • Single-core processor only;
  • Low Wi-Fi data transfer rate.

Lenovo G500

Rating: 4.5

Lenovo G500

This is already a slightly more advanced laptop, but it is also heavier than many other representatives of our rating. It looks very modern – most of all, buyers should like the very thin top cover. And there is also a discrete graphics card from AMD! However, do not rush to rejoice. Slightly more expensive laptop modifications are equipped with it. If you want to save money by spending no more than 20,000 rubles, then you will have to limit yourself to the built-in graphics accelerator Intel HD Graphics 500. Its capabilities are quite enough for processing photos and the interface in applications, but it is better not to launch modern games think.

Despite the beautiful appearance, it cannot be said that the laptop was announced relatively recently. Unfortunately, by some parameters it has already become outdated. For example, there is a DVD drive here. Does the user need it now? It is extremely difficult to answer this. It seems to us that many people would abandon it and end up with a much lighter laptop. Also the screen can be called outdated. It is made using TN technology, which means narrow viewing angles. And the resolution of 1366×768 pixels with a 15.6-inch diagonal will definitely not please. But practice shows that the display with a higher resolution is available only in mid-budget and top-end laptops (with rare exceptions).

We previously stated that the Lenovo G500 was not released yesterday. Indeed it is. But not many years ago either. The Chinese manufacturer has already been able to endow its creation with a pair of USB 3.0 connectors, featuring high-speed data transfer. Well, the only USB 2.0 port here is used to connect the simplest peripherals – for example, a computer mouse. You can also find VGA and HDMI connectors on the case, which are necessary for transferring images to a monitor or TV. Not forgotten, of course, and the combo jack, which serves to connect a headset, microphone or headphones. There is also a 100 Mbit LAN port. However, to access the Internet it is easier to use the capabilities of the built-in Wi-Fi module that supports the 802.11n standard. And if we continue talking about wireless modules, we cannot fail to note the presence of Bluetooth 4.0.

If you do not save much, then you can buy a laptop with a sufficiently large amount of RAM. However, no one bothers now to spend the minimum amount, and in the future, simply use the second RAM slot by inserting a second bar into it. But this model cannot be supplemented with a fingerprint scanner. And it is also impossible to increase the duration of autonomous work – the battery used to its maximum is capable of providing five hours of continuous operation.

Advantages

  • Low cost;
  • High-speed USB ports are available;
  • There is an HDMI output;
  • Read and write optical discs available;
  • There is a version with a graphics card from AMD;
  • Decent amount of RAM.

disadvantages

  • Not very long battery life;
  • Not a very powerful processor;
  • No fingerprint sensor;
  • Not the best display;
  • Weight is 2.6 kg.

Acer Extensa EX2519

Rating: 4.5

Acer Extensa EX2519

One of the most popular representatives of our rating of laptops up to 20,000 rubles. A lot of reviews on price aggregators indicate that the laptop is in demand. As expected, it exists in several modifications. However, almost all versions fit into the price tag limited by us. In particular, on sales for the same 20,000 rubles. version EX2519-P5WK can be purchased. It features a quad-core Intel Pentium N3710 processor, clocked at 1.6 GHz. In games, the chipset has a hard time – it is better not to run them on a laptop. But he copes with all sorts of office programs in the best way. By default Linux is installed here, but you can safely put Windows 10 – the processor should definitely pull this operating system. Although we must admit that when launching a large number of applications, problems can arise – this is due to insufficient RAM. But 4 GB is a kind of start, in the future you can double the volume by purchasing a different bar. It's a pity that there is only one RAM slot, which is why 8 GB is the maximum for such a laptop.

Acer Extensa EX2519 is an atypical representative of our rating. The thing is, it doesn't have a hard drive. An SSD is used instead. Because of this, the manufacturer had to limit the amount of permanent memory. But the operating system, like all applications, loads as quickly as possible. Believe me, in the future you will no longer be able to return to a traditional HDD, since working with it will seem terribly slow.

Despite the 2400-gram weight, the laptop is not capable of boasting a discrete graphics card. Unfortunately, only the built-in video processor from Intel is responsible for graphics processing, and we cannot expect miracles from it. But the device received a DVD drive. In the future, it is recommended to remove it by installing a 500 or even 1000 GB hard drive instead.

On the back of the laptop, you can see a gigabit LAN port. But if you use a laptop not only at the desktop, then it is better to connect to the router via Wi-Fi 802.11n. Also among the wireless modules present here is Bluetooth 4.0, which is most often used to connect a headset. Of course, wired headphones can also be connected to the laptop. The use of all kinds of peripherals is also available – at the ends of the laptop there is one USB 3.0 connector and a couple of USB 2.0 ports. A traditional HDMI jack is used to output images to an external monitor.

Otherwise, this is a typical laptop with a very low price tag. There is a webcam and microphone, the quality of which is poor. The card reader is not forgotten, which is good news. But there is no fingerprint scanner. The battery capacity is only 3500 mAh. In the first weeks, a full charge will be enough for about 4 hours of battery life, but in the future, the duration of continuous operation may decrease. However, practice shows that the owners of such laptops almost never use them far from the outlet, and therefore it is not worth blaming the short-lived battery life.

Advantages

  • There is a card reader;
  • There is the possibility of displaying images on the TV;
  • Built-in gigabit network card;
  • There is at least one USB 3.0 connector;
  • Someone might need a DVD drive;
  • Not a bad processor for the price;
  • A solid state drive is being used.

disadvantages

  • Only 128 GB of permanent memory;
  • Short battery life;
  • Weight is 2.4kg;
  • Not the best display
  • No fingerprint scanner;
  • Only 4 GB of RAM.

ASUS Vivo Book X540YA

Rating: 4.4

ASUS Vivo Book X540YA

One of the most inexpensive laptops in our ranking. You can easily buy it for 15-16 thousand rubles, even outside the holiday sales. At the same time, the laptop cannot be called very outdated. Yes, two kilograms may seem overwhelming. But what budget laptop is lighter? The screen is quite typical for this type of device – with a 15.6-inch diagonal, it has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. The display was created using TN technology, so the viewing angles suffer quite a lot. Well, for data storage, a regular HDD is intended, belonging to a 2.5-inch form factor. Its volume is 500 GB. In the future, it is recommended to replace it with an SSD, albeit less capacious – this will significantly speed up the operation of the operating system and many applications.

The laptop is built on the basis of a dual-core AMD E1 7010 chipset, the clock speed of which is capable of reaching 1.5 GHz. This is an average solution by modern standards, which is quite enough for office programs, but nothing more. But the most serious disadvantage of a laptop is RAM. Agree, 2 GB is very little.

To ensure a low price tag, the manufacturer had to abandon the operating system. As you know, by itself Windows costs several tens of dollars. As a result, the laptop only has DOS on board. When the buyer installs Linux or Windows, he will be able to go online. Access to the global web is provided by a 100-megabit network card and a built-in Wi-Fi module that works with the 802.11n standard. And also wireless headphones and other similar accessories can be connected to the laptop, for which Bluetooth 4.0 is used. If you are interested in connecting wired peripherals, then USB 3.0, USB Type-C and much less speed USB 2.0 are used for this. The latter is usually connected to a computer mouse. It is difficult to do without it, since the touchpad built in here is far from ideal. Even on the ends of the laptop, VGA and HDMI sockets are found, which are needed to display the image somewhere on a monitor or TV. The combo jack for headset, microphone or headphones is also not forgotten.

If you compare this laptop with modern ultrabooks, it should be noted that it turned out to be quite plump. But on the other hand, there was a place for a card reader, which will be useful to the owner of a camera or something similar. But the manufacturer refused from the DVD drive. He also did not significantly increase the capacity of the battery, which is why the battery life was very short. Of course, there is no fingerprint scanner here either.

Advantages

  • There is a card reader;
  • High-speed USB ports are available;
  • HDMI-out is not forgotten;
  • Decent amount of permanent memory;
  • Weight cannot be called prohibitive;
  • Very low cost;
  • Two color options.

disadvantages

  • Critically low on RAM;
  • A weak processor is used;
  • Supplied without operating system;
  • No fingerprint scanner;
  • Simplest TN display with low resolution.

Digma CITI E603

Rating: 4.3

Digma CITI E603

The only laptop in our rating that exists in only one modification. In Russian stores, it is sold for only 17 thousand rubles. A dual-core processor from the Intel Celeron series is used as a chipset. Its operation is carried out at a clock frequency of 1.1 GHz. Sparsely, but for opening office applications this is quite enough. However, it is still noticeable that the manufacturer saved the most on the chipset. But he was generous with the installation Windows 10 – an operating system that itself costs a lot of money paid to the company Microsoft. If you do not know how to independently install the operating system, then you need exactly Digma CITI E603 – here this problem is solved.

4 GB of RAM are hidden under the body of the device. In the future, we recommend that you double this volume. There is no video card here, and the power Intel of the HD Graphics 500 is not enough for modern games. However, there is nowhere to install games here. The fact is that the manufacturer decided to abandon the hard drive by integrating a solid-state drive here. But he only had enough money for the most modest SSD, whose volume is only 32 GB. If you do not want to store absolutely everything in the 'cloud', then it is better to immediately buy a larger drive. Yes, you will spend a fairly large amount on it, because of which the actual cost of the laptop will increase to 25 thousand rubles. But there will be enough space for everything. And if you buy not a hard drive, but an SSD, then the operating speed will remain the same high. Find it difficult to choose? Check out our list of the best SSDs.

Despite the lack of a massive HDD here, the laptop weighs 2.45 kg. It was mostly heavy because of the display. Its diagonal is 15.6 inches (as you may have noticed, all cheap laptops have strictly such a large screen). I am glad that the matrix is made using IPS technology, and its resolution is 1920×1080 pixels. Rest assured that you will not be disappointed in the quality of the display – the picture is detailed, while it does not fade, no matter what angle you look at it.

Against the background of the above advantages, I would already like to see a fingerprint scanner here. But no, it would have raised the laptop's cost too much. Also, the manufacturer made a choice in favor of a simple two-megapixel webcam – also to reduce the price tag. However, no budget laptop is able to offer a better matrix, so a webcam should not be included in the shortcomings. There is no point in adding a DVD drive to this list. But the manufacturer can even be praised for the card reader. If you regularly use a camera or action camera, then the presence of microSD support is good news. And on the ends of the laptop there are two slow USB ports and one fast USB 3.0. Here you can also find the HDMI output required for transferring pictures to a TV. Well, to access the Internet, it is proposed to use the built-in Wi-Fi module that supports the 802.11n standard. Not forgotten and Bluetooth 4.0, which is required primarily to interact with a wireless headset.

It remains to add that the laptop is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. Despite a decent figure, the charge dries up quickly enough. This must be the fault of the processor, which cannot be called in any way energy efficient.

Advantages

  • There is a card reader;
  • An SSD is used;
  • The operating system is installed Windows 10;
  • Outstanding IPS display
  • There is a high-speed USB 3.0 connector;
  • Available picture output via HDMI-connector;
  • Very low cost.

disadvantages

  • Large weight;
  • Very weak processor;
  • Little RAM and permanent memory;
  • There is no fingerprint sensor.

Conclusion

Inexpensive laptops will remain popular for a long time to come. Such devices are quite heavy, and their performance is far from ideal. But on the other hand, such laptops allow you to easily solve simple tasks – for example, editing documents and familiarizing yourself with the next articles posted in an Internet magazine.
