9 best laptops under 70,000 rubles

Review of the best according to the editorial board. About selection criteria. This material is subjective and does not constitute advertising and does not serve as a purchase guide. Before buying, you need to consult with a specialist.

Electronics today there are many and varied, for every taste and wallet. And with all the richness of laptop choices, a simple rule can often apply: the more expensive the better. And this rule really works where subtle technical nuances are not fundamental, but where it is important that the model is really not cheap in all respects. The specialists were based on these positions, making the current rating. 70,000 rubles – this, frankly, is far from the limit for the price of a good laptop, but it is quite a good device, and even a gaming one for this money can be taken.

Top laptops under 70,000 rubles

In the first nomination of the rating, we will consider those technological solutions that represent the maximum that can be squeezed out of the specified price maximum. Our experts tried to select the most balanced options, where all the modules were at the appropriate level.

ASUS ROG GL503GE

Rating: 4.9

ASUS ROG GL503GE

And our rating opens with a bright in all respects model ASUS ROG GL503GE. Without a doubt, there are components in it that make it in many ways beyond competition, but it also does not do without details that may upset some, and we will definitely indicate them.

So, the dimensions of this handsome man are 384x262x24 mm, the net weight is 2.6 kg. Such impressive dimensions are due to the concept itself. This is a gaming laptop with corresponding acoustics, paraphernalia and top-end filling.

This laptop is, of course, a gaming one, and this is exactly how the manufacturer positions itself. But! On the part of the screen here, many may be disappointed. The thing is that the maximum matrix resolution is 1920×1080, and the screen size is 15.6 inches. Here you can quite rightly fend off the fair reasonableness of the approaches of ASUS engineers. After all, in order to play in a higher resolution, in a modern game, and even with fps more than 30 – here all the rest of the equipment must be of a completely different class, and you will have to start from the amount of at least 100 thousand rubles. Unfortunately, the criticism of the screen does not end there – our experts mercilessly point out the technology – TN. Yes, there will be fewer potential highlights, yes, there will be a deeper black color, but the viewing angles of TN and IPS technologies still cannot be compared. For the sake of fairness, we note only that for the game, the viewing angles do not really matter. So if we consider this machine strictly as a gaming laptop, then only good things can be said about it further.

And we will already praise this laptop in the part of the screen. Unlike many, even very expensive models, the screen here is capable of supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz with a record response time of just 3ms.

The system is based on a Core i5 processor on 4 Coffee Lake-H cores with frequencies up to 2.3 GHz each. The first-level processor cache is 1MB, the second is 8MB. Chipset – Intel HM370.

This particular modification uses 12GB of 2666MHz DDR4 RAM (upgradeable to 32GB). The video card is used, of course, discrete, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with a capacity of 4GB.

With information carriers, everything is arranged in the most flexible way. There are modifications with only a solid state SSD installed, there is an option with only a mechanical HDD or with a combination of solid state and mechanical drives for optimal system performance, especially in the game. No optical drive is provided. The memory can still be expanded at the expense of the slot (supports SD, SDHC, SDXC cards).

One of the modifications has a preinstalled licensed operating system Windows 10 Home.

This laptop contains the following tools for communicating with networks and peripherals. Firstly, these are wired interfaces: standard Gigabit RJ-45 network output, USB 2.0, USB 3.1 Type Ax3, USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3.1 Type-C, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, combined microphone / headphone input / output. Wireless Wi-Fi is present in the form of a radio module with support for the 802.11ac standard, communication Bluetooth of the new generation – 5.0.

The autonomous operation of the entire system is ensured by a 4-cell lithium-ion battery with a total capacity of 64 Wh.

Advantages

  • overall power and 'sufficiency' for comfortable play;
  • good balance of system components;
  • backlit keyboard;
  • gamer design.

disadvantages

  • cons of the screen (low resolution and viewing angles).

HP Envy 17-ae102ur

Rating: 4.8

HP Envy 17-ae102ur

The second laptop in the ranking is the brilliant HP Envy 17 at its adequate modification price – ae102ur. Hewlett-Packard has almost always been famous for its excellent quality laptops, and here we look at a solution that literally goes on the verge of our own price cap.

The overall dimensions of this device are even larger than in the case of the above-described model: 416x283x23.3 mm, and in terms of weight it will be much more noticeable in every sense – 3.04 kg. All this is not least due to the presence of an optical drive in the laptop. Despite the fact that optical discs become history more and more, nevertheless, there remains a significant percentage of users who still need them. This laptop is designed for just such users. With the 'exterior', here is complete order – the laptop sparkles with a natural silver tint of the metal case.

The situation with the screen is much more different here than in the previous model. On the one hand, we see the same maximum resolution – 1920×1080 pixels. But on the other hand – a more extended screen diagonal – 17.3. And all these advantages are crowned by the matrix technology – here it is IPS with a characteristic advantage in viewing angles up to 178 degrees in both directions. That is, the problem of joint viewing of films in a large company in this case is completely solved.

The electronic 'heart' of the laptop is a Core i5 8250U processor (the first level cache is 1MB, the second level is 6MB) on 4 Kaby Lake-R cores with a frequency of up to 1.6 GHz each. At least 8GB of RAM is installed, DDR4 memory itself can operate both at 1600 MHz and at a higher frequency of 2400 MHz. This must be taken into account when choosing a specific modification.

The situation with the video subsystem is as follows. There is a standard 'minimum' integrated video card, but the second one looks much more interesting – a discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX150 video card with 2048 MB of RAM. The preinstalled operating system is Windows 10 Home.

A 1GB mechanical HDD is used as a data storage system, but the media type is faster – 7200 rpm. In addition, in any case, the laptop can be modified by replacing the standard optical drive with any other one at will – solid-state or mechanical. You can use external memory due to a slot with support for SD, SDHC, SDXC.

Wired communication is organized here through a gigabit network card, USB 3.1 Type Ax3, USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3.1 Type-C, HDMI, microphone input / output to a headset or external speakers. Wireless: 802.11ac, 802.11b and Bluetooth 4.2 Wi-Fi radios.

Autonomous power supply is provided by a 3-cell lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 55.8 Wh and an average estimated independent operation time of about 10.75 hours. Dedicated USB 3.1 Gen 1 slot supports HP Sleep and Charge.

To crown all this beauty, the keyboard with spectacular colorful backlighting.

Advantages

  • good mechanical hard drive;
  • recharging via USB;
  • the presence of an optical drive;
  • metal case;
  • beautiful keyboard backlight;
  • design.

disadvantages

  • no stock solid state drives.

ASUS Zenbook 3 Deluxe UX490UAR

Rating: 4.7

ASUS Zenbook 3 Deluxe UX490UAR

This nomination of the rating is completed by another striking laptop from ASUS. This time it is representative of the 'airy' and at the same time powerful Zenbook series. This is far from such a monstrous machine, and it looks like a really laptop, and not a portable rocket launcher.

The dimensions of the device will delight lovers of minimalism – 329x210x13 mm, and the weight is 1.1 kg. The metal case is made in the simplicity and sophistication characteristic of the entire series.

The maximum screen resolution here is the same FullHD as in the other two models – 1920×1080 pixels. The size of the screen itself is 14 inches diagonally, the coating is glossy, and the technology is IPS with characteristic maximum viewing angles.

A system based on an 8250U Core i5 processor on 4 Kaby Lake-R cores with operating frequencies up to 1.6GHz (the first level cache is 1MB, the second level is 6MB) is built. The nominal amount of RAM is 8GB LPDDR3 type at a frequency of 2133 MHz. The video subsystem in this case, without any complaints, is a simple integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. The pre-installed operating system is the same – Windows 10 Pro.

An important difference between this laptop and the previous two is that it uses only an SSD solid-state drive as the main storage medium with a volume of 25GB.

Wired interfaces for networking, charging and peripherals: USB 3.0 Type-C, one USB 3.0 Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3×2 support, headset in / out. Wireless interfaces – Wi-Fi generation 802.11ac, 802.11b, Bluetooth version 4.1.

The lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 3700 mAh is rated by the manufacturer itself as capable of providing up to 12 hours of battery life.

A nice decoration, and often a useful feature for those who work in the dark, is the spectacular keyboard backlight.

In addition, we note that this model contains a fingerprint scanner, and the resolution of the main camera is 1.3 megapixels.

Advantages

  • IPS matrix;
  • autonomy;
  • relatively powerful camera;
  • metal case;
  • useful additional functions;
  • exquisite design.

disadvantages

  • no wired network interface;
  • small volume of standard hard disk.

The best laptops under 50,000 rubles

The second nomination for the rating of the best laptops up to 70,000 rubles is obviously a cross between two neighboring categories. These are neither top models, nor budget ones. Normal workhorses, each with its own remarkable detail.

Lenovo IdeaPad 320 15 Intel

Rating: 4.8

Lenovo IdeaPad 320 15 Intel

The nomination is opened by a bright representative of the IdeaPad line from Lenovo with a processor Intel on board. It is a powerful portable machine that boasts not only competitive performance but also exquisite design. There are quite a few modifications of this series, but we will consider one of the most 'stuffed'.

So, the dimensions of this model are 378x260x22.9 mm, the weight is quite small – 2.2 kg. It is produced in a single color scheme of the case – black. The design is pleasant for its minimalism, which is characteristic of most of modern electronics.

The maximum screen resolution for a laptop is 1920×1080 pixels. The size of the screen itself is 15.6 inches. The screen cover is matte. Matrix technology – TN. This is an obvious drawback that will have to be resigned to if we want a powerful car for a reasonable price.

The heart of this modification of the laptop is a processor Intel Core i7 8550U on 4 Kaby Lake-R cores (second-level cache – 1MB, third – 8MB) with frequencies up to 1800 MHz. The nominal amount of RAM here is 6GB of DDR4 type at a frequency of 2133 MHz. Modifications allow different options for a complete set of video cards, including the minimum – standard integrated into the processor and discrete, fully autonomous NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with a separate video memory of 4GB. Preinstalled operating system – as expected, Windows 10 Home.

A compromise option is used as a standard data storage device – a 1TB mechanical HDD with a Serial ATA interface and the possibility of various replacements in favor of a solid-state drive for the operating system. No optical drive is provided.

Of the wired communication methods, the presence of a standard RJ-45 network output pleases, then there are also two classic USB 3.0 interfaces, two USB 3.0 Type-C outputs, HDMI, and a combined headset input / output. Wireless communication is represented by a Wi-Fi radio module with support for 802.11ac, 802.11b, and Bluetooth generation 4.1. There is also support for external memory cards SD, SDHC, SDXC as a separate slot.

The estimated average battery life is up to 5 hours.

As an additional function, there can be a fingerprint scanner, but if this element is important, its presence must be checked at the point of sale.

Advantages

  • powerful processor;
  • flexible approach to video subsystem organization;
  • decent autonomy;
  • compactness as much as possible.

disadvantages

  • TN matrix.

HP 250 G6

Rating: 4.7

HP 250 G6

Now, in the rating of the best laptops up to 70,000 rubles, according to the version, we present another striking model from Hewlett-Packard, but here the emphasis is on the side of the minimum dimensions and weight. This device honestly fits the definition of an 'ultrabook' in all respects.

The maximum screen resolution in the top versions of this model is 1920×1080, that is, the same FullHD as in any of the above models. There are more budget modifications with a resolution of 1366×768. The screen diagonal is 15.6 inches. The coating is matte. The dimensions of the device itself are 380×253.8×23.8mm, the weight is only 1.86 kg. The design is classic – minimalistic.

The manufacturer allows several options for completing the model with a processor – it can be Intel 7th generation Core i7 (the most expensive option, which is unlikely to be balanced with the rest of the electronics, given the price limit) or Intel 7th Gen Core i5 or lower up to Celeron.

As a video card, the manufacturer here approached from the point of view of maximum expediency – a simple integrated AMD Radeon 520. For the sake of maximum performance and at the same time a combination with the minimum dimensions and weight of the laptop, it was decided to base the system on the main solid-state SSD. The volume can be varied at the point of sale or among sellers. There is also the usual support for external SD cards. Despite its compact size, the development engineers fit an optical DVD drive into this model. Of course, it can be replaced with something more useful.

Wired communication is represented by an integrated gigabit network card with a standard RJ-45 interface. You can also connect to devices and peripherals via two classic USB 2.0 interfaces, VGA output (D-Sub), HDMI video output, and a combo port for connecting a headset. Wireless communication is represented by a Wi-Fi radio module of the 802.11ac class and Bluetooth generation 4.1.

In terms of battery life, options are also acceptable here. Thus, a laptop can be equipped with a standard 3-cell lithium-ion battery with a total capacity of 31 Wh; or an extended version with one additional module with a total power of 41 Wh.

Advantages

  • variability of equipment;
  • thin and light;
  • you can choose a more powerful battery;
  • Beautiful design.

disadvantages

  • the obvious uselessness of an optical drive, which could be replaced with something more useful or reduced in size / weight.

Prestigio Smartbook 141S

Rating: 4.2

Prestigio Smartbook 141S

Third in this nomination for the rating of the best laptops up to 70,000 rubles according to the version, we present the most budgetary option in this collection, which can be 'enhanced' in places where possible, with a corresponding rise in the price of the base model.

This is a thin and light laptop weighing no more than 1.4 kg and dimensions within 330x220x13mm. Available in three main colors – brown, silver and blue.

The maximum screen resolution of the base model is 1920×1080 pixels. The screen diagonal is 14.1 inches. But the matrix technology is IPS, that is, the angles of the frame will be maximum.

With the processor, a minimalistic approach is visible – a 2-core Celeron on Apollo Lake cores and a frequency of up to 1100 MHz (L2 cache – 2MB). The creators of the model did not make any surprise with the graphics either – Intel HD Graphics 500. However, there is a pre-installed licensed one Windows 10. The amount of memory is variable, but DDR3 memory will be used.

A solid-state SSD is installed as a data storage subsystem, but it has a very modest size – only 32GB. So, this point is probably worth considering when buying, not least. Railway interface – M.2. External microSD flash memory cards are supported as standard.

In terms of communication, the emphasis here is on wireless: there is a Wi-Fi radio module of the 802.11b standard and Bluetooth generation 4.0. There is no standard wired network card with RJ-45 output. At the same time, there are two USB 3.0 Type A interfaces, through which you can connect almost any peripheral. There is also a micro HDMI output, which is undoubtedly good news. Well, and, of course, a combined input / output for an audio headset.

We provide power to the device with an unexpectedly capacious, as for such a modest system, a lithium-ion battery of 5000 mAh.

The body in this case is metal, but its properties are more aesthetic, since it does not provide any additional shock resistance. The webcam is the most ordinary with a resolution of 0.3MP.

Advantages

  • metal case;
  • attractive appearance;
  • capacious battery;
  • compact size;
  • light weight;
  • affordable price in basic configuration.

disadvantages

  • very small volume of a standard solid-state drive;
  • no wired network card.

The best budget laptops up to 10 thousand rubles.

Finally, the ranking of the best laptops up to 70,000 rubles according to the version is completed by a selection of the three most affordable devices that are available on the current market, and which are at least capable of something.

DELL 500

Rating: 4.4

DELL 500

Let's start with a model from a manufacturer that has not yet featured in our review today – DELL. This model is, of course, not a flagship, and it is being sold out like hot cakes, so it may take a long time to find it at a normal price. But probably. Let's see what we are going to deal with.

Despite all the affordability of this laptop, light weight and small dimensions are clearly not its strong point. The dimensions of the device are 357x256x37mm, weight – 2.7 kg. In many respects, the reason for this is rather archaic components, but the price compromise is forcing, here you can't go anywhere.

The maximum resolution of the laptop screen is 1280×800 pixels, the screen size is quite large – 15.4 inches in diagonal. With viewing angles, the developers did not surprise in any way, and they did not intend to – everything is at the level of ordinary budget matrices.

DELL engineers placed the Celeron M 550/560 processor on one core in the electronics control center with frequency options from 2000 to 2130 MHz. With this in mind, it’s easy to guess that the laptop can be used only for basic tasks – typing, chatting on the Internet, using other applications in a sparing mode. Anything more heavyweight laptop simply will not 'pull'. The same applies to video processing – an integrated Intel GMA X3100 is installed here, and there are no particular alternatives offered.

The developers of this model with data accumulation subsystems acted rather strangely. So, here we see a mechanical, and at the same time 'slow' typically notebook HDD with a capacity of 120GB. Against this background, the developers for some reason considered it necessary to fit an optical drive into the laptop. Again, if someone's work is related to the frequent use of optical discs – no questions, the model is just right. But in most other cases, it will make sense to replace the optical drive with something more useful. Or, in the end, do not bother, because the price of the model obviously does not dispose to use it in resource-intensive projects. The operating system can be optionally preinstalled: to choose from – Linux / Windows Vista Home Basic / Windows XP Home.

A very modest amount of RAM is also installed here – 1 or 2 GB – most often this can be indicated at the point of sale. And the memory is of a rather ancient generation – DDR2, clocked at 667 MHz.

You can slightly expand the capabilities of the video card by using the ExpressCard / 54 expansion slot. In addition, it supports external flash memory in familiar formats. For wireless communication, you can use a standard Wi-Fi radio module with support for the 802.11g standard. Bluetooth is also available. There is even an integrated network card with standard RJ-45 output. Its speed, however, is limited to 100Mbps. For some reason, a regular fax modem is built in, which once again clearly indicates the clearly narrow specialization of this model. Of the useful interfaces, there are three USB 2.0 ports, one VGA (D-Sub) video output. For some reason there is also a FireWire interface. The battery is lithium-ion.

Advantages

  • relatively large screen diagonal;
  • affordable price;
  • the presence of 'archaic' devices that can be used in a number of professions.

disadvantages

  • weak electronics in general.

Digma EVE 300

Rating: 4.2

Digma EVE 300

The second number in the nomination of the rating of the best budget laptops up to 70,000 rubles according to the version, our experts identified the model of the Digma trademark. It is a relatively new brand of electronics of Hong Kong origin, which has established itself well in the market. Against the background of a very specific previous model with its some frankly archaic components, Digma EVE 300 looks very lively and cheerful. Let's take a closer look at the stuffing of the laptop.

The maximum screen resolution here is FullHD – 1920×1080. At the same time, the dimensions of the screen themselves are quite compact – 13.3 in diagonal, which means that the pixel density is naturally increased. The technology of the matrix, which is remarkable, is IPS with the characteristic maximum possible viewing angles. The coating, however, is glossy, and it cannot be said that the developers were particularly concerned about the anti-reflective coating. The overall dimensions of the laptop are 315x212x16mm, the weight is 1.28 kg.

A 4-core Atom x5 (Cherry Trail cores) at a frequency of up to 1440 MHz is used as a central processor. The video card is expectedly built-in and unpretentious – Intel HD Graphics 400. But by modern standards, even such a stripped-down model has quite a bit of RAM – only 2GB. But this can still be more or less painlessly experienced, but the situation is even worse with the data accumulation system. There is only one hard drive with a capacity of only 32GB. I am glad that at least a solid-state SSD. The operating system Windows 10 Home is preinstalled. There is a slot for external flash memory cards.

As for the connections, let's say right away that such modest dimensions did not leave a chance for the developers (and for the most part, the need in principle) for a wired network card. Therefore, you can connect to networks here via Wi-Fi of the 802.11n standard, and to devices directly via 'wireless' – via Bluetooth version 4.0. In addition to everything, there are two more classic USB ports 2.0 and 3.0, plus even an HDMI output, and, of course, a standard input / output for a headset.

For a snack, we left something that surprised this little one – a powerful lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh. For a device with such modest energy needs, this is more than enough.

Advantages

  • compact size;
  • light weight;
  • FullHD screen resolution;
  • IPS matrix;
  • powerful battery.

disadvantages

  • small hard drive.

Acer ASPIRE 5536G-653G25MI

Rating: 4.0

Acer ASPIRE 5536G-653G25MI

And completes the budgetary part of the rating of the best laptops up to 70,000 rubles. according to the version of the model, the very name of the trade mark of which is unwittingly associated with the 'average' consumer with solid inexpensive electronics. This is Acer ASPIRE, model 5536G-653G25MI.

The screen resolution of this model is the smallest of the widescreen portable PC screens acceptable in the modern world – 1366×768 pixels. The matrix technology is not particularly surprising here – an ordinary TFT with LED backlight. For some reason, a glossy finish, although matte would be more appropriate, especially since the screen is not touch-sensitive. The overall dimensions of the device are 383x250x37mm, weight – 2.8 kg. The body is made of plastic in black and classic design.

The development engineers assigned a 2-core Athlon X2 with a core frequency of up to 2100 MHz to the central processor. Memory can be installed up to 8GB, type – DDR2. There are two slots for memory strips. The developers approached the organization of the video subsystem in a rather original way. It uses a discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 card, but with a rather modest amount of memory – only 512MB. In some cases, this is a reasonable compromise between a very weak integrated video card and a heavy discrete model, costing 90% of the laptop itself (miners took care). There is even a preinstalled operating system here, although today it is quite old – Windows 7 Home Basic.

The data storage subsystem here is the most ordinary – a mechanical HDD with a volume of 250 GB, with a slow spindle speed of 5400 rpm, plus there is even an optical DVD-RW drive. The latter, enthusiasts often change for something more useful, for example, a larger hard drive, but no one forces you to do this. There are many professions where DVDs are still applicable in every way.

Expand your laptop with an ExpressCard / 54 slot. All popular external flash memory formats are also supported.

Communication here is organized comprehensively: there is a gigabit network card with RJ-45 output, a Wi-Fi radio module of the 802.11g standard. The lack of a module Bluetooth is upsetting. In addition, there are four USB 2.0 interfaces, VGA output (D-Sub), HDMI output, standard input / output to an audio headset.

The capacity of the 6-cell lithium-ion battery of this model is 4400 mAh, which, according to the manufacturer, corresponds to an average of three hours of operation.

Advantages

  • affordable price;
  • there is a DVD-RW drive;
  • there is an expansion slot;
  • relatively weak but discrete graphics card.

disadvantages

  • no Bluetooth.
