For a long time, this manufacturer has been creating not only refrigerators. The assortment of the company includes both dishwashers and washing machines. However, most associate this brand with refrigerators. They all have a nice modern design. And in terms of technical characteristics, they surpass many competitors, even from more eminent companies. The foundation of this company took place in 1921. Its headquarters are located in Tokyo, Japan. Now Mitsubishi Electric is a real giant, whose subsidiaries can be found in Germany, France and the Netherlands. It all started with an electric motor factory. In the future, the assortment only expanded.
This company now makes the most money on air conditioning systems. And by no means on consumer models. For a long time, the company has been designing full-fledged industrial systems, which are then used by the builders of residential multi-storey buildings. As for refrigerators, they account for almost the smallest sales. It must be admitted that the Japanese almost do not pay due attention to this area. This must be due to the fierce competition in this market.
Refrigerators Mitsubishi are sold in many Russian stores. However, such a purchase can be very burdensome for the family budget. A rare copy is sold for less than 50 thousand rubles. One of them almost made a revolution: he proposed to place the vacuum cleaner on runners made of thick wire, which greatly simplified its transportation. Well, a few years later, vacuum cleaners began to receive wheels.
In the middle of the 20th century, Electrolux refrigerators began to appear. Unlike the competition, they boasted interior lighting and glass shelves. They also stood out due to the peculiar Swedish design.
Later the company developed at an unprecedented pace. Now it is a real giant. Electrolux management bought several competitors in due time. For example, it is the Swedes who now own the Italian company Zanussi and the German AEG. One of the most recent acquisitions is General Electric's home appliance division.
This size of the company allows Electrolux to create a huge number of all kinds of refrigerators. Many of them are reasonably inexpensive as they are produced in the same country where they are sold. But, of course, the company does not specialize in budget models. If you buy just such, you run the risk of running into a small capacity and the need to regularly defrost the device. If you pay attention to the Electrolux refrigerator, which costs 75-85 thousand rubles, then you will get at your disposal a device with No Frost support, the service life of which will be several decades. Moreover, such a refrigerator has a modern design – it is possible that its body will be painted in a color other than white, and the display will let you know about the temperature inside each compartment.
Experts will not let them lie, Electrolux strives to improve the energy efficiency of its appliances. Swedish refrigerators, especially when it comes to fairly expensive models, usually correspond to the A ++ energy class or even higher.
If we talk specifically about Russia, then the range of Electrolux refrigerators here is not as wide as we would like. We cannot find truly innovative models. Also, our stores do not sell very spacious appliances. Refrigerators with a total volume of 350 liters are available as much as possible, the Swedes do not supply Side-by-Side models to Russia, since they are practically not in demand here (many Russians live in small apartments, where such a refrigerator simply cannot fit).
Whirlpool

It seems to many people that all manufacturers of household appliances are concentrated in Europe and Asia. But in fact, there are similar companies in the United States. Whirlpool is one of the largest. The company was founded in 1911. Initially, it was assumed that the plant would only produce washing machines. Now no one in the US can compete with Whirlpool. The company's annual turnover reaches $ 21 billion! And it is refrigerators that account for the largest share of sales (approximately 29%).
The American company Whirlpool strives to show the buyer that its equipment is as modern as possible. That is why its refrigerators have a design that will seem unusual to many. The company was renamed after it merged with a manufacturer of toothpaste and other chemical products. In 1995, various equipment began to appear under the trademark LG Electronics. For a long time, televisions were the most profitable company for the combined company. The hitch occurred only at the time of the transition to LCD technology. Then the company was rescued by its mobile division, which produced excellent smartphones. Well, then they began to bring good money OLED – TVs that delight customers with deep black colors.
As for refrigerators, in this regard LG follows its main competitor. This company also strives to expand its range as much as possible, supplying premium models with intelligence and ingenuity. Also LG regularly buys matching factories in other countries, which allows refrigerators to be assembled in the same place where they will be sold.
You can easily find inexpensive refrigerators LG in stores that have the usual white color. Also, South Koreans are actively selling mid-budget models, which can have beige, brown or silver cases. It's nice that even the models sold for 30-40 thousand rubles are durable and very quiet. As for expensive models, their search in Russia causes some difficulty. Basically, Side-by-Side refrigerators with incredibly spacious chambers have a high price tag. But even such models rarely cost more than 70 thousand rubles. All this allows us to assert that refrigerators LG are one of the most affordable. However, this does not mean that the company's product range does not include such a model as LG LSR100RU, which costs 500 thousand rubles and supports control from a smartphone. But if we talk about household appliances, then there are practically no companies left on the territory of this country that are engaged in its creation. Even Sharp is having some problems. But this company is one of the oldest manufacturers of consumer electronics, founded in 1912.
Sharp's history began with the repair of metal products. We would never have learned about this enterprise if in the future its management had not decided to start the production of a mechanical pencil in a nickel case. Then this factory burned down, a new one was built, and in 1925 the founder of Sharp learned about the existence of radios. It was in their production that this company made a name for itself. The creation of television technology was also set up quite early. Well, in the second half of the 20th century, the production of various household appliances, including refrigerators, was launched.
Unlike many competitors, Sharp's products are chopped. Also, the freezer in such refrigerators is not always located in its usual place – in the most expensive models it is located on top. And even advanced devices have a good display that shows the temperature and the selected operating mode. And we don't even have to talk about No Frost, even relatively inexpensive Sharp refrigerators have support for this technology.
Like many other manufacturers, the Japanese company strives to paint its products in more than the typical white color. And she also tries to increase the volume of internal space. It got to the point that the total volume of some models reaches an incredible 536 liters! And this is not about Side-by-Side devices, as one might think! For example, Sharp SJ-XE55PMBE is so roomy.
Hotpoint-ariston

As you might guess, Hotpoint-Ariston is a brand resulting from the merger of two companies. The main one is still Hotpoint – this manufacturer of household appliances was founded in 1911, more than a hundred years ago. The headquarters of this brand is located in the USA, but mainly the company is aimed at selling its products in Europe. Oddly enough, it cannot be called completely independent – the assets of this company are divided between Whirlpool and Haier.
The name of the Hotpoint company comes from the first product it manufactured – an electric iron. This type of home appliance was invented just six years before the company was founded. In the future, the company began to produce many other types of electrical equipment – for example, stoves and toasters. The latter in general have long been associated with the Hotpoint brand, since this company was the first to establish widespread production of them.
In 2007, Hotpoint acquired the historic Ariston brand, owned by Indesit. Washing machines, dishwashers and refrigerators sold in Europe now carry the Hotpoint-Ariston brand. However, gradually the company refuses to mention the second trade mark. So don't be surprised if you see a Hotpoint refrigerator in the store.
Speaking specifically about the equipment produced, it usually belongs to the budget segment. This means that such devices are painted white and need to be defrosted from time to time. However, the Hotpoint-Ariston assortment also includes refrigerators, which are sold for 25-30 thousand rubles. They already support No Frost, although there are exceptions to the rule. They are also often able to boast of non-standard colors.
As for the most expensive Hotpoint-Ariston refrigerators, they are practically not found in Russia. Of course, you can find some Hotpoint-Ariston SXBHAE 920, sold for 80 thousand rubles, but for this you have to try hard. The aforementioned model has a huge capacity, silver color and a small display that shows information about the current operating mode. And the device also has a freezer located to the left of the refrigerator.

Comparatively inexpensive kitchen appliances are sold under the Hansa brand. The company that produces it is part of the Amica group – a fairly well-known European manufacturer of household appliances. While devices under the Hansa trademark can be found in about twenty countries. But there is no doubt that in the future the popularity of this technique will only grow.
Amica has been around for about 70 years. Now her portfolio includes more than two thousand products. Some of this number is distributed under the Hansa brand. In particular, this applies to refrigerators supplied to Russia. Unlike competitors, this company seeks to occupy the niche of atypical devices. This means that her models are often non-standard sizes. For example, Hansa FM1337.3RAA is no bigger than a nightstand. Such a device is usually bought by hotel owners. Also, such a refrigerator will look good in the country, where a fairly small amount of food is usually stored.

ATLANT

In the Soviet years, a fairly large number of factories were built in Belarus, providing the entire union with a variety of equipment. I am glad that some enterprises have survived to this day. In particular, our rating could not do without Atlant CJSC. This is a Belarusian company engaged in the production of refrigeration and freezing equipment. And not only, in order to increase income, the company had to expand its assortment by launching the production of electric kettles, washing machines, stoves and some other goods.
The first Minsk refrigerator rolled off the assembly line in 1962. Later, it was here that the first two-compartment refrigerator in the Soviet Union was created. Even in those years, the products seemed almost perfect. It got to the point that Minsk refrigerators were supplied to Western European countries – Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Great Britain, France and many others. They were also in demand in China, until they started their own production here.
After the collapse of the USSR, the plant was transformed into ZAO Atlant. Now the date of foundation of this company is considered to be 1993, when it happened. Now the company produces at least 70 models of refrigerators and freezers. All of them are distributed under their own ATLANT brand. The assortment of the company includes both one- and two-compartment refrigerators. The latter are divided by the location of the freezer – usually it is located at the bottom, but there are also options with its upper placement. The company also pays some attention to refrigerators with two compressors.
The widespread use of supermarkets allowed the company to earn a lot of money from commercial refrigeration equipment. It is possible that in the store nearest you, the sausage is stored in the ATLANT refrigerator.
One would assume that now the company manufactures its products at several factories, because the budget should allow it. Indeed it is. But the refrigerators themselves are still assembled in Minsk, bringing tangible incomes to the budget of Belarus in the form of taxes. Also, ATLANT Inc. has a plant in the city of Baranovichi, but only compressors are produced there, which are then sent to Minsk. The third plant owned by the company is engaged in the creation of washing machines and other electrical appliances.
Should you buy ATLANT refrigerators? Why not? You shouldn't be confused by their low cost. It is possible to buy such a device for 16-20 thousand rubles only due to the fact that the manufacturer does not need to pay a serious duty, as European companies do. But, of course, budget models in any case will not suit you with something. If you want to buy an ATLANT refrigerator for centuries, then it is better to look at slightly more expensive models. For example, ATLANT XM 4425-049 ND will look great in the kitchen, while it will never ask for defrosting – ice never accumulates on its inner walls. One can only find fault with energy consumption – ATLANT compressors in this regard are slightly inferior to competitors.
BEKO

Any selection does not end with inexpensive goods. Such products are produced by the Turkish company BEKO. This is despite the fact that this company was founded in 1967. But while other home appliance manufacturers invest in R&D, BEKO has always sought to compete at a lower cost.
In fact, the company itself is called Koc Holding. But everyone knows it exclusively from BEKO and several other brands (for example, Grundig). Various kitchen appliances, as well as washing machines and air conditioners, are distributed under this brand. Like some competitors, the Turks are trying to localize production, because this is what makes it possible to achieve a low cost at the lowest cost. Products under the BEKO brand have been present in Russia since 1997. For almost a decade, the Turkish manufacturer has been trading here without making much money. And only in October 2006 a plant producing BEKO equipment was launched in Russia. This allowed us to reduce the price tag for some devices, while making them a little higher quality.
Having our own factory in Russia cannot but help to achieve low cost. But many buyers need a refrigerator urgently, and therefore they cannot allocate more than 17 thousand rubles from their budget. However, it must be admitted that the devices sold for such money have a number of drawbacks. First, they can hardly be called particularly quiet. Secondly, not every copy is durable. Third, they involve manual defrosting.
Fortunately, the BEKO range includes mid-budget refrigerators that do not have most of the drawbacks. They have adjustable buttons, they have implemented the No Frost technology, and their bodies can even be painted in atypical red or black colors.
