The body of this model is made mostly of plastic. The bezels around the display are wide enough. At least by modern standards. The back of the device houses not only the antenna input, but also several other connectors. Aside from the outdated jacks, there are a couple of HDMI inputs and one USB port. In fact, this is a very small amount, which will not allow connecting a lot of all kinds of equipment to the TV. And there is also an optical audio output. It will be useful if the built-in 10-watt acoustics do not suit you.

Unlike many competitors, the LG 43LM5500 is capable of boasting an ambient light sensor. It tries to automatically adjust the brightness of the backlight. For what is happening on the display, the standard firmware is responsible, which does not have smart functionality. This means that watching YouTube and online cinemas is possible only with the help of some kind of external devices. But then nothing slows down! For television, the BBK 43LEM-1063 / FTS2C supports all digital standards. Therefore, it is possible to connect to it both a terrestrial antenna and a satellite dish.

Sound output here is carried out through two 8-watt speakers. Perhaps this is a typical parameter for an average budget TV. As they say, it could be worse. If the sound quality is not satisfactory, then it can be sent to the soundbar or speakers using the coaxial audio output. You can also use headphones. But only wired, Bluetooth is missing here.

The fact is that the manufacturer tried to increase the depth of black colors, albeit losing because of this in the viewing angles. We can safely say that Polarline 40PL51TC has the best color rendering in this price segment, but you can only notice this when you are directly in front of the TV – when viewed from the side, the picture becomes faded. Well, we don't need to talk about the screen refresh rate – it is standard.

The device is designed for watching terrestrial and cable TV. If you want to connect a satellite dish, you will have to use the receiver. Reception of a picture from it, as well as from other types of equipment, is carried out through three HDMI inputs and more outdated connectors. There are also a pair of USB ports on the back of the TV for reading media files from a flash drive or external hard drive. As for the Internet connection, it is not implemented here, since the device does not have a Smart TV.

Like many other cheap TVs, the Polarline 40PL51TC has modest built-in speakers. Its total power is only 12 watts. Fortunately, the manufacturer has endowed its creation with a coaxial audio output, so the owner of this model will be able to output the sound to the soundbar or speakers. The 40-inch LCD panel located here is made using VA technology. This indicates correct color reproduction with very deep blacks. However, this technology also has one significant drawback, which is not the best viewing angles. And the screen is also not capable of boasting an increased refresh rate, but at such a cost, nothing else was expected. The response time, if anyone is interested, is 8.5 ms.

The image here is accompanied by a loud sound. The built-in acoustics is responsible for its reproduction, which includes two 10-watt speakers. If suddenly the sound quality does not suit you, you can connect some external speaker system to the TV. To do this, you can use either the coaxial audio output or the headphone jack.

This model supports cable and terrestrial digital TV standards. But you will have to forget about connecting the 'satellite' – this can be done only through the receiver. To connect it, you can use one of three HDMI inputs. Also on the back panel there is one USB port and all sorts of outdated jacks.
