DELL P2415Q

Rating: 4.9

DELL P2415Q

You need to start, of course, with one of the most advanced models. Of course, it will seem too expensive. But if you are going to use the monitor for gaming purposes, then only this option will completely suit you. The DELL P2415Q includes a 4K resolution IPS display. This allows you to view photos in full detail without using zoom. Also, such a monitor is great for watching modern films, in this case only the diagonal will become embarrassing. Well, for gaming, serious components are required from a computer; when choosing a monitor with 4K resolution, this should not be forgotten.

The built-in screen is capable of boasting not only high-definition images, it also has a very high scanning frequency. There are no problems with viewing angles, but there was no doubt about that. Flicker-free backlighting should also be noted, because it is thanks to it that the eyes do not get tired even after many hours of work with such a monitor.

Typically, IPS panels suffer from lack of deep blacks. But in DELL P2415Q the contrast ratio is 1000: 1. The image looks better only on much more expensive devices with OLED – screen. Nothing bad can be said about the response time. It does not exceed 8 ms here. Experts will confirm that this is an adequate parameter, especially for a 4K display.

Computer and other devices are connected to this monitor using DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort and HDMI 1.4. Not a bad set! There is also an audio output on the rear panel of DELL P2415Q. The USB ports are not forgotten either. We can say that the back wall is literally strewn with them! More precisely, the buyer is waiting for four USB Type A connectors (specification 3.0). All this allows you to remove the system unit somewhere further away, you can connect peripheral devices and headphones to the monitor.

Despite the gorgeous parameters of the display installed here, the device does not even think about consuming huge amounts of electricity. Most often, the power consumption is 50 W, in some cases it is approximately doubled. And we should also note the relatively low weight of the monitor, thanks to which it can be easily hung on the wall (you need a 100×100 mm mount).

Advantages

  • The screen refresh rate is 76 Hz;
  • The stand allows you to adjust the height;
  • 90 degree rotation available;
  • Wall mount supported;
  • A huge number of connectors;
  • Backlight uneven compensation implemented;
  • Maximum viewing angles;
  • The number of displayed colors has been brought to a billion;
  • Very high resolution;
  • Flicker-free backlight is used;
  • Low response time.

disadvantages

  • Very high cost.

AOC AGON AG241QX

Rating: 4.8

AOC AGON AG241QX

Another monitor with a very thin bezel. It also includes an elegant stand with a unique design. As for the cost, about 23 thousand rubles are asked for this model. A lot, but such a price tag can no longer be called prohibitive. Especially if you find out that the display located here has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Again, this is not the highest setting. But at least it allows you to somehow save on the video card and processor – you definitely won't need especially powerful components.

The manufacturer is positioning its creation as a gaming monitor. It is not surprising, because the response time here does not exceed 1 ms. Unfortunately, this was achieved solely due to the manufacturing technology. The mention of TFT TN in the specifications indicates that the product suffers from insufficiently wide viewing angles. Because of this, some people will definitely not take this model to themselves. They won't even care if the built-in display here has a refresh rate of 146 Hz. But on the other hand, it will be appreciated by those who are going to sit right in front of the monitor – they will enjoy high-quality color rendition, and smooth picture, and lightning-fast response.

Like many other expensive monitors, there is a flicker-free backlight. Also, the device is capable of boasting high contrast. This model can also output sound, but you should not seriously count on a pair of speakers with a total power of 6 W. It is better to immediately use the stereo output present here by connecting speakers to it. Also, the monitor allows you to output sound to headphones.

If we are talking about connectors, we cannot fail to note the possibility of using the device as a USB hub. On the rear panel of the AOC AGON AG241QX there are as many as four USB ports of high-speed specification. To use them, you need to connect the monitor to the computer using a cable, at the end of which there is a USB Type B plug. Printers and MFPs are usually connected with the same wire. Well, for image reception, two HDMI interfaces are used, one DisplayPort, DVI-D and VGA. In a word, a wide choice awaits the user!

This monitor has received support for FreeSync technology, which will definitely please the owners of good video cards. With regard to power consumption, it is about 37 watts. By the way, the power supply is built into the monitor. This means that there will be a regular wire under the table, at the end of which there is a traditional plug.

Weighing only 5.53 kg, you are unlikely to experience any problems when placing it on the built-in stand. She, by the way, allows you to adjust the height of the monitor, as well as turn it into portrait mode. The product also supports a 100×100 mm wall mount.

Advantages

  • Multifunctional stand;
  • Low power consumption;
  • Wall mount supported;
  • Built-in FreeSync function;
  • Very high refresh rate of the screen;
  • Original design;
  • A large number of connectors;
  • There are USB ports;
  • High enough resolution.

disadvantages

  • Low power stereo speakers;
  • Viewing angles are not maximum;
  • High price.

Samsung S24H850QFI

Rating: 4.7

SAMSUNG S24H850QFI

It is still very difficult for monitor manufacturers to get rid of bezels completely. But many of them are on their way. For example, Samsung has managed to reduce the bezel width to a minimum in the case of the S24H850QFI model. Only the area under the screen is as wide as it is.

The display used here was created using PLS technology. This allows us to hope for both maximum viewing angles and high contrast. However, this LCD panel has several disadvantages. Firstly, it has a response time of 5ms, which may not suit fans of online shooters and other similar games. Secondly, such a screen costs money, so the monitor itself is not cheap. However, the price tag stops scaring after you find out that the built-in display here has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. And it also boasts a 75 Hz refresh rate! Not forgotten, of course, is the flicker-free backlight.

The rear panel of the device has a decent number of connectors. Basically, the owner of the monitor will use HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces. And it also supports receiving images via a USB port. Like the models discussed above, Samsung S24H850QFI can be used to connect other devices to your computer. For this, there are three USB 3.0 connectors. In this case, the monitor itself must be connected to the computer using the USB Type-C connector. Not forgotten here is the headphone jack. The device, if anything, does not have built-in speakers.

Nowadays, many expensive monitors are able to rotate 90 degrees, as well as adjust the height above the table surface. Samsung S24H850QFI is no exception. Also on the rear panel of this model there are holes for wall mounting – you will need an accessory of 100×100 mm standard. The monitor weighs 6.4 kg. This indicates that the power supply is inside it and not outside. Most often it will consume 38 watts. Only in some operating modes does power consumption begin to reach 100 watts.

Advantages

  • Good frame rate
  • Maximum viewing angles;
  • The response time is still not long;
  • Decent contrast
  • Decent resolution, albeit not 4K;
  • A large number of connectors;
  • There are USB ports;
  • FreeSync is supported;
  • Can be hung on the wall;
  • The stand is multifunctional.

disadvantages

  • High price;
  • There are examples with highlights.

LG 24UD58

Rating: 4.6

LG 24UD58

As you know, the company LG has its own division that produces a huge number of IPS panels. Therefore, one should not be surprised that such a display was included in LG 24UD58. Most importantly, the screen has 4K resolution! And this with a price tag of 20 thousand rubles!

Everyone understands that the IPS panel has both advantages and disadvantages. The first include the maximum viewing angles. Well, the main drawback can be considered not particularly high brightness. And the response time of 5 ms will not suit everyone. As for this particular display, for the sake of economy, the manufacturer had to reduce the refresh rate to 61 Hz. However, which of the readers has a video card that produces a higher FPS in games with such and such a resolution?

The screen of this model has received a traditional anti-reflective coating. The frames turned out to be neither narrow nor wide. It can be seen that the manufacturer was definitely not striving for a record. I am glad that the monitor has the FreeSync function, which will be appreciated by many owners of AMD video cards. And it also has a built-in power supply, usually consuming in the region of 35 watts.

Unfortunately, this model has some other simplifications. They can be seen if you look at the rear panel. Where are our favorite USB ports? Alas, they are not here, so you will have to continue to use the corresponding slots on the system unit or motherboard. With regard to image reception, three jacks are used for this: a pair of HDMI interfaces and one DisplayPort. There is also a headphone jack. This model does not have its own speakers.

If the devices discussed above were rotated 90 degrees, then this functionality is excluded from the stand for LG 24UD58. It will not work and adjust the height. But the support for mounting on the wall is still there.

Advantages

  • Very high resolution;
  • Maximum viewing angles;
  • The response time should suit most buyers;
  • A large number of connectors;
  • FreeSync technology is supported;
  • Low power consumption;
  • Can be hung on the wall;
  • The backlight does not flicker.

disadvantages

  • Not very high refresh rate;
  • Simple stand;
  • No USB hub
  • The color rendition cannot be called perfect.

ASUS VG248QE

Rating: 4.5

ASUS VG248QE

When creating this monitor, the Taiwanese company saved a lot. This can be seen in the most simplified stand design. It can also be said in a very wide frame. However, not everything is as bad as it seems. Otherwise, the monitor would simply not be included in our rating.

The manufacturer has done a good job on the LCD display. Its characteristics should suit many gamers. The refresh rate of the screen is brought up to 144 Hz. Players will also love the 1ms response time. This means that you definitely will not blame the display of this monitor for your defeats.

The fact of supporting the image output in 3D looks quite unexpected. Glasses using shutter technology are used to view it. It is difficult to say whether a modern buyer needs it, but it certainly won't be superfluous. But the manufacturing technology can only be attributed to the disadvantages. It did not allow the manufacturer to achieve maximum viewing angles. And the WLED backlight type will not suit everyone.

This monitor has built-in stereo speakers. But their total power does not exceed 4 W, so you are unlikely to use them. For that matter, it's easier to output sound to headphones or speakers, since the corresponding connector is not forgotten here. And the device also received one HDMI, DVI-D and DisplayPort jack. As for the USB interfaces, they are not here.

Despite the low cost, and this monitor is regularly sold for only 16 thousand rubles, it uses a stand that allows you to adjust the height of the device, as well as instantly rotate it 90 degrees. What is the reason for this? With permission. Unlike more expensive models, this monitor displays a picture in resolution Full HD. But in fact, this is still quite enough for many. Especially for owners of computers with weak components by modern standards.

If a monitor manufacturer wants to reduce the thickness of their creation, then they may think about equipping it with an external power supply. Fortunately, ASUS VG248QE is connected to the mains using a standard cord with a plug. Power consumption usually does not exceed 45 W.

Advantages

  • Wall mount supported;
  • A multifunctional stand is used;
  • Low power consumption;
  • A large number of connectors;
  • Extremely fast response time;
  • High frame refresh rate;
  • 3D supported.

disadvantages

  • Not very high contrast;
  • The permission will not suit everyone;
  • Low power built-in speakers;
  • No USB hub
  • Viewing angles are not maximum.

BenQ ZOWIE XL2411P

Rating: 4.4

BENQ ZOWIE XL2411P

We are gradually moving on to simpler monitors. And this is exactly what BenQ ZOWIE XL2411P can be called. At least that's how it seems at first glance. A very wide bezel is used here, and even with a peculiar flow in the lower right part, where the control panel is located. The design of the stand also seems strange. But on the other hand, it is multifunctional, allowing you to adjust the height of the screen, as well as turn it into portrait mode.

With a price tag of 14 thousand rubles, you should hardly expect a monitor with a 4K display. No, the user is presented with a traditional Full HD picture. But not a simple one, but with an increased scan rate up to 144 Hz! Do I need to say that at this resolution it will be felt in many games, even if the computer has a not very powerful video card?

The display used here is made using TFT TN technology, the picture is displayed using WLED backlight. This imposes some restrictions. In particular, the user is expected to have good, but by no means maximum viewing angles. And there will be certain complaints about the color rendering. But on the other hand, such a screen has an extremely low response time, which will especially appeal to fans of Counter-Strike and other similar games. As for the contrast, it can be called average.

Like many of the other models reviewed here, this monitor can output sound to headphones. But it does not have its own speakers. There is also no USB hub here, which will sadden someone even much more. As for the methods of receiving images from a computer and other devices, three interfaces are used for this: DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2.

It remains to add that the monitor consumes about 45 W, and its operation is provided by the built-in power supply.

Advantages

  • Multifunctional stand;
  • Wall mount supported;
  • A large number of connectors;
  • Low power consumption;
  • Low response time;
  • Very high refresh rate.

disadvantages

  • Not everyone will like the design;
  • No USB hub
  • Not very high resolution;
  • Not too wide viewing angles;
  • After the purchase, you have to adjust the color rendition for half an hour;
  • The body and stand are made of cheap plastic.

Iiyama ProLite XB2483HSU-B3

Rating: 4.3

Iiyama ProLite XB2483HSU-B3

Another monitor with an outdated design. It has a simple stand, and the frames around its screen will even scare someone. But this is unlikely to bother you if the monitor is purchased for installation in the workplace. In particular, such a device is regularly found on the table of bank employees. They are quite satisfied with the MVA-panel installed here, which has a resolution Full HD, and the flicker-free backlight allows their eyes to not get tired.

The resolution of the display located here is 1920×1080 pixels. The viewing angles are maximum. Color reproduction is also good. So good that it is often used for editing and evaluating photographs. However, we must admit that there are some problems with contrast – in this regard, the Iiyama ProLite XB2483HSU-B3 is inferior to much more expensive competitors. But there are no complaints about the frame rate – 75 Hz will suit even those who buy this monitor for games. The response time here is 4 ms, which is also not a bad parameter, although it does not reach a record value.

This monitor not only has a display, but also an audio system. However, stereo speakers with a total power of 4 W will seem useful only in the workplace. At home, you will definitely want to connect separate speakers. This can be done, by the way, through one of the connectors on the rear panel. And also flash drives and various peripherals are connected to the monitor, for which there are two USB 2.0 sockets. But before that, you need to connect the monitor to the computer with a wire, at the end of which there is a USB Type B plug, like any printer.

As for the transmission of the image, a set familiar for a device with such a price tag is used here. These are the trinity of popular interfaces: HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA. These jacks allow you to display a picture on the monitor from both a computer and a game console.

When installing this model, you do not need to free up space under the table. It has a built-in power supply. Incidentally, this is one of the most energy efficient monitors in our collection, consuming only 26W most of the time.

Advantages

  • Flicker-free backlighting;
  • Not very long response time;
  • Not the highest cost;
  • Wall mount supported;
  • Multifunctional stand;
  • Low power consumption;
  • A large number of connectors;
  • Increased frame refresh rate;
  • Good viewing angles.

disadvantages

  • Not everyone will like the design;
  • Not particularly loud stereo speakers;
  • USB 2.0 speed is poor;
  • Contrast far from ideal;
  • Permission is only Full HD.

Philips 243V7QDSB

Rating: 4.2

PHILIPS 243V7QDSB

You might think that only monitors with wide bezels and a cheap display will go further in our review. But no, we must also mention the device sold under the Philips brand! Despite the cost, equal to about 8 thousand rubles, the product has received narrow frames, located around a very high-quality screen. The IPS manufacturing technology means that the buyer will enjoy the maximum viewing angles. And permission Full HD still suits not only office workers, but also some teenagers.

The display located here is backlit using a special technology that eliminates the effect of flickering. This allows you to hope that your eyes will not get tired for a long time. The screen is also capable of boasting a response time of 5 ms. It is adequate for watching movies and running simple games. Problems will be noticed only by fans of online battles and e-sportsmen who value every fraction of a second. Also, one cannot fail to note the frame refresh rate increased to 76 Hz. This makes the picture smoother. But we must not forget that this is not a TV, the device will not independently 'finish' additional frames.

Such an inexpensive monitor could not do without a few major simplifications. Most of all, someone will be grieved by the complete lack of USB connectors. This means that the device will not be able to act as a USB hub. There are also no built-in speakers here. However, the audio output is still not forgotten, it simplifies the connection of speakers. Also on the back panel of the Philips 243V7QDSB there are VGA, DVI-D and HDMI jacks.

The rest of the monitor is nothing unusual. It has a built-in power supply, which most often consumes no more than 14 watts. Such a device will definitely not affect your electricity bills. As for the stand, it is not endowed with any functionality, you can only slightly change the tilt of the monitor. Some people prefer to abandon the stand altogether by hanging such a monitor on the wall. There is such an opportunity, you just need to get a VESA mount with a format of 100×100 mm.

Advantages

  • Extremely narrow bezels around the screen
  • Maximum viewing angles;
  • The warranty period has been extended to two years;
  • Very low power consumption;
  • The number of connectors will suit most buyers;
  • Increased frame refresh rate;
  • Low cost;
  • There is an audio output.

disadvantages

  • Permission Full HD will not suit everyone;
  • Long response time;
  • No USB ports
  • Color reproduction is far from ideal.

AOC I2481FXH

Rating: 4.1

AOC I2481FXH

Another monitor with incredibly thin bezels. The product also received a unique curved stand. All this makes this model the best choice for placing it in a child's room! By the way, he will be able to spend a lot of time at the monitor, because the backlight without flicker is implemented here! But we still recommend teaching him to get out of the computer for outdoor games more often.

This monitor is not particularly expensive. In this regard, it should not be surprising that its LCD matrix has a resolution Full HD. For its manufacture, the AH-IPS technology was used. This speaks of the maximum viewing angles. This is important because someone will be looking at the monitor from somewhere far away – for example, from a sofa. In this case, you should be pleased with the decent contrast, especially if you started watching a movie. Well, in games, you can appreciate the frame refresh rate, reaching here 76 Hz.

Typically, IPS panels are not capable of boasting fast response times. But here the manufacturer has worked on this parameter, having achieved 4 ms. For many, this is quite enough even to comfortably play network shooters, not to mention other genres.

It is clear that many additional components will not be built into a monitor for 10 thousand rubles. In particular, there are no speakers here. 3D support is also missing. Well, the stand used here will not allow you to rotate the monitor 90 degrees or change its height above the table. There are not even wall mount holes here!

However, the manufacturer saved by no means on all components. The AOC I2481FXH monitor is capable of boasting a decent number of connectors. The simplest VGA is supplemented here with a pair of HDMI sockets. You can also connect headphones to the device, it also has a corresponding jack.

Some people will definitely be pleased that this model consumes only 23 watts. But the power supply will cause less joyful emotions. The manufacturer did not build it into his creation, making the power supply external. This means that you will have to observe its presence under the table every time, regularly wiping it from dust.

Advantages

  • Very long warranty period;
  • There is a headphone output;
  • Increased sweep frequency;
  • The backlight has no flickering effect;
  • Not very long response time;
  • Maximum viewing angles;
  • Decent number of connectors;
  • Very low power consumption;
  • Nice design.

disadvantages

  • Permission – only Full HD;
  • You can still find fault with the color rendering;
  • An external power supply is used;
  • There are instances with dead pixels and highlights.

LG 24MK430H

Rating: 4.0

LG 24MK430H

This monitor is sold in Russian stores for 8-9 thousand rubles. It is clear that for that kind of money you will not be offered a technically perfect device. But the manufacturer of this model still tried to get rid of most of the usual shortcomings.

Let's start with the fact that the product has the simplest design. A usual stand is used here, practically not adjustable in any way, and the width of the frames around the screen will definitely sadden a person who is not by hearsay familiar with top smartphones. But the appearance is perhaps the only serious drawback of this model.

The monitor was manufactured by a company LG. In this regard, it is easy to guess that he received an IPS panel. Such a screen suffers from a response time of up to 5ms, but it is capable of boasting maximum viewing angles. As for the resolution, it is 1920×1080 pixels. Contrast is decent, but nothing more, you shouldn't hope for perfect blacks, of course. Most of all this monitor will appeal to children who like to spend time playing games. The fact is that the frame refresh rate here is increased to 75 Hz.

Curiously, this model can even be hung on the wall. But this will require an atypical VESA mount with a format of 75×75 mm, which is not sold in every store. As for the connection to the mains, it is carried out through the power supply. It will have to be placed under the table, there is nothing you can do about it. The power consumption of this monitor is approximately 30W.

The main feature of the AOC I2481FXH is support for FreeSync technology. It is usually reserved for significantly more expensive monitors. Otherwise, this device is unlikely to surprise you. There are no stereo speakers here, as you can remember about 3D support. Only the headphone output is not forgotten by the manufacturer. However, many find it much easier to connect them to the system unit, especially if the corresponding connector is brought out to its upper part. As for the slots for receiving the image, there are not enough of them here: on the rear panel there is one HDMI and one VGA. If you want to connect both a computer and a game console, then difficulties can arise.

Advantages

  • Maximum viewing angles;
  • High frame refresh rate;
  • There is a headphone output;
  • Very low power consumption;
  • Wall mount supported;
  • FreeSync technology support has been implemented.

disadvantages

  • The appearance will not suit everyone;
  • The minimum number of connectors;
  • No built-in USB hub
  • Not everyone will like the response time;
  • I would like more resolution;
  • Supplied with an external power supply.

Viewsonic VA2419-sh

Rating: 4.0

VIEWSONIC VA2419-SH

The most affordable monitor in our selection. In Russian stores, they ask about 7 thousand rubles for it. Of course, there are even cheaper models, but we advise you not to even consider buying them. The fact is that they have a very low resolution by modern standards. And their viewing angles are often completely useless. And we must not forget that the monitor is bought not for a couple of months, not for one year, but for a very long period. Then why not spend a little more than you bargained for?

This is one of the most inexpensive monitors among the IPS-display at its disposal. Such a screen is capable of boasting maximum viewing angles, this is its main advantage. The display resolution is 1920×1080 pixels, which is ideal for watching movies. A game lover will also like the device, because the sweep frequency is brought up to 75 Hz, which makes the picture very smooth. If only your existing video card could produce such an FPS! The screen also boasts a flicker-free backlight. This is another advantage of it, because the absence of flicker allows the eyes to hardly strain. Well, the only drawback is the response time of 5 ms. However, this will only be noticeable in esports games.

Despite the low cost, the monitor received a built-in power supply. The device has almost no effect on electricity bills, because it consumes only 31 watts. By the way, it can be easily hung on the wall, you only need a VESA mount with a format of 100×100 mm. However, many buyers prefer to use a stand, even if it is not fully functional.

This monitor does not have stereo speakers. But on its rear panel there is an audio output, which allows you to connect speakers or headphones to it, and not to the system unit. If we talk about the reception of the image, then it is carried out through HDMI and VGA.

Advantages

  • The warranty period has been extended to three years;
  • Increased frame refresh rate;
  • Maximum viewing angles;
  • Flicker-free backlighting;
  • There is an audio output;
  • Low power consumption;
  • Wall mount supported;
  • Low cost.

disadvantages

  • I would have liked more connectors;
  • Not the best response time;
  • Permission – only Full HD;
  • No support for FreeSync technology;
  • Not the best stand.

Conclusion

This is a list of the best computer monitors that have a 24-inch screen at their disposal. We tried to talk about both top-end and budget models. Now you just have to make a choice, focusing on how much money you are willing to spend on such a device. We recommend not to save. Whatever one may say, but the quality of the displayed picture depends on how quickly the eyes of a person working at a computer will get tired.
