The auxiliary camera, in turn, shoots at the same 30 frames per second, only at a resolution of 640×480 pixels – not enough, but quite enough for parking a car. The advantage of the assembly is that it can work at temperatures down to -30 degrees Celsius, making it possible to use it in the regions of Siberia. In the end, the Dunobil Chrom Duo is a great device, the appearance and technical characteristics of which more than beat off the price tag.

Artway AV-390 Super Night Vision

One step away from the leader of the rating, the Artway AV-390 video recorder stopped – the best, in our opinion, in terms of the quality of night shooting from all devices costing up to 5000 rubles. Manufacturers allowed themselves to experiment with the CMOS matrix and the camera as a whole, playing on a significant improvement in video capture parameters in the dark … and, as it turned out, they were right. The hybrid system of 3-megapixel sensor and built-in LED-backlight gave a stunning result in terms of video quality, complementing the already 'powerful' FullHD-shooting at 30 frames per second. In parallel with this, a new lens with a 170-degree field of view was integrated into the AV-390. In fact, the video reflected the full unfolding of the situation on the road – more than the driver sees when driving.

Despite the fact that everything looks great (even the system has received (in addition to motion and shock sensors) an additional set of functions – SOS and WDR), Artway made one small mistake, which is the parameter of a narrow operating temperature range. The threshold of -10 degrees is overcome in almost all regions of Russia, and therefore the use of the AV-390 receives a strict restriction.

Xiaomi YI Smart Dash Camera is the flagship model of the budget segment, capable of recording videos in SuperHD-quality (2304×1296 pixels), while producing stable 30 frames per second. However, to increase the frame-by-frame result, it is enough to lower the resolution to 1080p, and enjoy an ultra-clear picture with smoothness at 60 frames.

In addition to a sharp increase in quality relative to younger models, the YI Smart Dash Camera boasts a 165-degree viewing angle, which even some premium models cannot. Equally important in the case of this DVR is the effect of a 'beautiful thing' with a well-thought-out design of the box and lens, as well as perforations to ensure flow ventilation (from the top and bottom of the case, diagonally). And finally, a few words should be said about the possibilities of connecting the camera via Wi-Fi. If there were problems with localization in Xiaomi Mi Jia, then YI was initially focused on the Russian market, in connection with which the Chinese worked out the issue of translating the interface and control program. The end result exceeded all expectations and the dash cam became a valuable company asset Xiaomi (along with smartphones).

This somewhat non-standard selection is due to the fact that the manufacturers wanted to distinguish the device from the crowd of their own kind. The viewing angle was 150 degrees, and the frame rate was maintained at 30 per second.

Along with the beauty of the housing, Playme MIDI also surprises with the 'built-in' driver care function. It is expressed in the presence of LDWS-notification about safe driving, however, after a while it begins to annoy and even annoy. The base also contains a G-sensor and a motion sensor – standard things even by the standards of budget DVRs. One of the main advantages of the model is the possibility of expanding memory up to 128 GB: neither those who are lower in the hierarchy, nor those who are in the top three can offer such an opportunity. A unique video recorder, the purchase of which should definitely be considered.

CARCAM Т3 is a device focused on ease of use and reliability, which includes a large number of special sensors and easy navigation through the menu. By abandoning push-button controls, manufacturers were able to enlarge the display by equipping it with a sensor with fairly large control units (the screen diagonal is 3.5 inches). The recording is carried out in the format Full HD at 30 frames per minute and with a viewing angle of 140 degrees.

Like all models of the mid-budget level, the CARCAM T3 video recorder has the capabilities of cyclic and continuous shooting, and in the first case, the user is not given any choice – the video sequence is clearly divided into minute segments. For greater confidence that everything will be included in the frame, manufacturers have integrated shock sensors (G-sensor) and movements into the design, which bring the camera into operation when large objects enter the field of view or a sharp impact (acceleration). The final touch in the characteristics of the model can be called the possibility of expanding memory up to 32 GB, which, as in the case of Artway AV-520, is an average result.

A video recorder with good recommendations from users, which got into the rating due to a very successful package and a set of features. The whole essence of the superiority of Artway AV-520 over the previous nominees lies in the presence of an additional camera and in the asking price: by paying 3000 rubles, the consumer receives a device capable of providing visibility in several spatial positions at once, whether it be a side plane, a car interior or the area behind. The main camera of the model is filmed at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a frequency of 25 frames per second – the minimum necessary for comfortable perception of the picture. The viewing angle is 120 degrees, which, albeit a little, but again, fits into the standards.

In general, Artway AV-520 seems to be such an averaged version of the DVR, in which literally everything is verified within the framework of the standards. It supports microSD up to 32 GB, loop recording (1, 2 and 5 minutes) and night shooting (thanks to the presence of IR illumination). As a result: the device came out quite good, but, alas, it is not capable of surprising anything except the second camera in the kit.

Xiaomi Mi Jia Car Driving Recorder Camera

Quite an interesting video recorder from a well-known Chinese manufacturer of mobile equipment, the cost of which is very close to the “ceiling” of our rating. And, however, it pays off very well, both in terms of functionality and in terms of appearance.

Providing a viewing angle of an impressive 160 degrees, Xiaomi Mi Jia allows you to record video at a resolution of 1920 × 1080 and 1280 × 720 pixels, while supporting capture up to 30 and 60 frames per second, respectively. For remote control of the shooting process and the ability to view video, the device provides a connection via Wi-Fi, however, full access can be obtained only when the official software is installed on a smartphone (or tablet). The camera has a built-in illumination system that allows you to get high-quality images even in twilight and darkness. Perhaps the only really serious drawback Xiaomi Mi Jia is the lack of official localization. Of course, the situation is corrected by installing the Russian language package from 'folk craftsmen', but this looks extremely damp and somewhat spoils the overall impression of using the DVR.

LEXAND LR40

Its versatility is due to two factors: firstly, the quality of the resulting video and the set of functions are excellent for capturing the traffic situation, and secondly, the convenient mounting system and dimensions do not take up much space and do not interfere with the review.

The entire optical system of the LR40 is based on the use of a 1 megapixel CMOS sensor, which allows Full HD video to be shot at standard 30 frames per second. In the photography mode, the same camera provides the ability to receive a high-definition picture in 4K resolution. There is a built-in G-sensor that allows you to activate recording on impact, as well as a loop recording function with automatic 'unloading' of the media memory (up to 32 GB). It is also worth mentioning the night shooting mode, which activates the backlight to obtain a sufficiently detailed image – without it, the matrix would not be able to cope even with shooting at twilight, since the resolution imposes a certain number of rather strict restrictions.
