That is why we decided to talk about the best devices equipped with such a display. Note that we will talk about both expensive devices and budget models. This should make your choice much easier.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus 4 / 64GB

Rating: 4.8

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus 4 / 64GB

One of the most popular devices in our rating. Thousands of people order this model every day through various online stores, mainly bringing goods from China. People like the cost of the device, which usually does not exceed 11 thousand rubles. Previously, it was impossible to buy an adequately working smartphone for this money. Now the situation has changed – there are no complaints about the functioning of Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus. And it would be strange if the device regularly slowed down with an eight-core processor. The main cores of the chipset can operate at a clock frequency of 2 GHz, which allows you to solve absolutely any problem. Here, even the level of graphics in games has to be reduced extremely rarely.

The smartphone was included in our selection for a reason. On its front side there is a 6-inch LCD display. It is a pity that for the sake of economy, the manufacturer decided to abandon the frameless design, which is why the device turned out to be very large – it will not fit into every pocket. The screen installed here has an aspect ratio of 18: 9, which will especially please those who are used to using two applications at the same time. The display is also capable of boasting a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. It was created using IPS technology, so the user is expected to have maximum viewing angles and close to realistic color reproduction.

The rest of the smartphone specifications are also unlikely to disappoint the buyer. In particular, it should be noted that there are 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent memory. It is allowed to keep a large number of running applications in the background. Well, if photos, documents, music and videos suddenly run out of space, you can insert a memory card. However, because of the external storage, you will have to abandon the second SIM-card, since it uses a combined slot. By the way, speaking of music, the most pleasant thing is to listen to it using a traditional wired headset connected to a 3.5 mm audio jack. You can also use wireless headphones, for sound transmission to which Bluetooth is used 4.2. But in this case, you will no longer be able to activate the FM receiver – it needs a physical connection, because the headphones are used as an antenna.

This smartphone operates under Android 7.1. Access to the operating system is provided after scanning a fingerprint – the corresponding module is located on the rear panel. A high-speed LTE module is used to access the Internet. There is also Wi-Fi, but not so fast – it supports the 802.11n standard as much as possible. Someone will also be pleased with the infrared port – it can be used to control TV, acoustics and some other household appliances. A micro-USB connector is used for charging and synchronizing with a computer. Perhaps this can be attributed to the disadvantages, because now in any smartphone you want to see a more modern port, the plug into which is inserted exclusively from the first time.

In the AnTuTu benchmark, the device is gaining approximately 69 thousand points. Average result. The 12-megapixel camera installed here may seem the same average. However, it outperforms some competitors with a similar price tag – mainly due to the available 4K video shooting. As for the front camera, it is not impressive – its resolution is only 5 megapixels.

Advantages

  • Decent amount of memory;
  • Capacious battery with fast charging support;
  • A large number of color options;
  • The body is metal;
  • Good IPS display with high resolution
  • Optimal cost;
  • Not forgotten 3.5mm audio jack;
  • 4K video shooting possible;
  • There is an infrared transmitter;
  • Built-in powerful Snapdragon 625 processor;
  • Fingerprint scanner not forgotten.

disadvantages

  • Weight reaches an impressive 180 g;
  • Micro-USB connector is used;
  • Not the fastest Wi-Fi;
  • There is no NFC chip;
  • Low quality sound is recorded by the camera;
  • The rear camera has a narrow aperture.

Vivo Y81

Rating: 4.7

Vivo Y81

Another smartphone in our ranking, selling for 10-11 thousand rubles. The product differs from the device discussed above by the presence of a cutout in the upper part of the LCD. In the so-called monobrow, there was a place for proximity and light sensors, a front camera and an earpiece. The Chinese manufacturer tried to reduce the side frames, which allowed him to place a screen on the front panel, the diagonal of which reaches 6.22 inches – the device still does not seem gigantic from this. Calculations have shown that the display occupies 83% of the front area. It is also impossible not to notice that the screen is strongly elongated in height, due to which the device lies in the hand quite comfortably. Claims can only be made for permission. 1520×720 pixels – well, that's not what you expect from a modern smartphone. However, pixelation is not visible to the eye, so it's not all that bad.

The operating system is the eighth version Android. Wi-Fi 802.11ac and LTE are used to access the Internet. Also, the smartphone includes a module Bluetooth 5.0. However, it is not necessary to look for a wireless headset, because the Chinese did not deprive their creation of a 3.5 mm jack.

The smartphone received an eight-core processor MediaTek Helio P22. This is a mid-budget chipset capable of running at 2 GHz. PowerVR GE8320 is used as a graphics accelerator. It is necessary to reduce the level of graphics in games, but not always. Even under the body of the gadget there are 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory. Not forgotten is the slot for an external drive, the volume of which can be almost anything.

The Chinese manufacturer still saved on some components. This is most noticeable in the cameras. The rear module has an f / 2.2 aperture, after which the light falls on the 13-megapixel sensor. The quality of the pictures is average, and in the evening it is better not to take pictures outside. The maximum video resolution is only 1920×1080 pixels (30 frames / s). As for the front camera, it uses a 5-megapixel sensor, simple optics and an f / 2.2 aperture. Also, the manufacturer saved on a fingerprint scanner – it simply isn't here. Want to protect your photos from prying eyes? You will have to use a pattern or PIN to lock.

Advantages

  • A fresh version of the OS is installed;
  • Weight does not exceed 147 g;
  • The display is based on IPS technology;
  • Low cost;
  • There is a 3.5mm audio jack;
  • There are high-speed wireless modules;
  • A powerful enough processor is built in.

disadvantages

  • Micro-USB port is used;
  • The screen resolution will not suit everyone;
  • The simplest front camera;
  • No fingerprint sensor;
  • There is no NFC chip.

Meizu M6 Note 3 / 32GB

Rating: 4.6

Meizu M6 Note 3 / 32GB

This smartphone has a simplified design. Most of all, it looks like a South Korean device released three or four years ago. Here, too, there is a fairly large area above the screen, and below it is a physical Home button, which has a built-in fingerprint scanner. A total of four color options have been released – from gold to traditional black. The operating system is Android 7.1. The body of the device is made of metal – this made the smartphone quite heavy. And this is not the largest display – its diagonal is only 5.5 inches! The screen was created using IPS technology, which speaks of the maximum viewing angles. The aspect ratio of 16: 9 will suit everyone who most of all likes to use their smartphone for watching videos. Also, such people will like the resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.

Among the wireless modules present here, LTE and Bluetooth 4.2 should be highlighted. Of course, Wi-Fi is not forgotten, but it does not deserve special mention, since this module only supports the 802.11n standard. As for NFC, the Chinese have habitually forgotten about it. If we talk about the rest of the components, we cannot but tell about the processor – the eight-core Snapdragon 625 is built in here. Its power is enough for most of the games existing now. But 3 GB of RAM is not as much as we would like. And 32 GB of onboard storage is not the volume that will suit everyone. Fortunately, the smartphone has got a memory card slot, which solves the problem of lack of free space for photos, videos and music.

Unlike the smartphones discussed above, the Meizu M6 Note has a dual camera. Matrices with a resolution of 12 and 5 megapixels are hidden under its lenses. The main optical unit boasts an f / 1.9 aperture, thanks to which the camera copes well with shooting in low light conditions. And the smartphone can also shoot video in 4K resolution – not every device in this price segment is capable of this. Well, the front camera here consists of one lens, but underneath is a 16-megapixel sensor.

It remains to add that the autonomous operation of the gadget is provided by a 4000 mAh battery. Of course, there is support for fast charging technology. You can only regret the used connector – it's a morally outdated micro-USB.

Advantages

  • There is a 3.5mm audio jack;
  • Excellent dual camera capable of 4K video;
  • The body was made of metal;
  • IPS display has a high pixel density;
  • Good front camera
  • Built-in powerful processor from Qualcomm;
  • A capacious battery with fast charging is used;
  • There is a fingerprint scanner;
  • Affordable cost.

disadvantages

  • Micro-USB connector used;
  • The smartphone turned out to be weighty;
  • The firmware does not suit everyone.

Huawei Y6 Prime (2018) 16GB

Rating: 4.5

Huawei Y6 Prime (2018) 16GB

Now the Chinese company Huawei pays less and less attention to the budget segment. However, several inexpensive smartphones by this manufacturer still continue to be produced. For example, a gadget called Y6 Prime (2018) got into our rating – you can buy it in Russian stores for 7-8 thousand rubles. Of course, there is no need to expect advanced specifications from such an inexpensive device. But the smartphone cannot be called quite weak either.

The Chinese manufacturer saved the most, as luck would have it, on the display. With a 5.7-inch diagonal, it has a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. Calculations show that there are only 282 pixels for every inch of screen area. If you are used to using a more expensive smartphone, then definitely pay attention to the fact that the photos do not seem to be detailed enough. The screen was created using IPS technology – this indicates the maximum viewing angles and soft color reproduction. Also, the attentive reader has already realized that the display has an aspect ratio of 18: 9.

The device turned out to be quite light – its weight does not exceed 150 g. It should be noted that the thickness is only 7.8 mm. It is clear that such a parameter could not but affect the battery – its capacity barely reaches 3000 mAh. It is a pity that the charger is connected via micro-USB. Do I need to say that the plug is inserted into this connector from the second, and sometimes from the third time?

The functionality of the smartphone is provided by the operating system Android 8.0. Fingerprint scanning can be used as an unlocking method – the corresponding sensor is located on the back panel. When playing music, you can connect headphones – a traditional 3.5 mm audio jack is intended for this purpose. If you have a wireless headset, then the built-in module Bluetooth will come in handy 4.1. The device also allows you to connect to wireless LTE networks and Wi-Fi 802.11n. Alas, the NFC chip is traditionally missing here.

The cameras here do not evoke any enthusiastic emotions. The rear module uses a conventional 13-megapixel sensor. Well, the quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor is not sharpened for 4K video shooting, so the owner of the smartphone will be limited to resolution Full HD and 30 frames / s. The front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor – the pictures will be good, but nothing more.

The biggest disappointing smartphone is the memory size. 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM – this is definitely not what you expect from a modern smartphone. But if you agree to put up with such numbers, then the device is unlikely to disappoint you.

Advantages

  • There is a fingerprint scanner;
  • The latest version of the operating system is used;
  • Low weight;
  • Low cost;
  • The display was created using IPS technology;
  • There is a 3.5mm audio jack.

disadvantages

  • No NFC chip;
  • Little RAM and permanent memory;
  • Low screen resolution;
  • Micro-USB connector is used;
  • Not the fastest Wi-Fi.

VERTEX Impress Cube

Rating: 4.4

VERTEX Impress Cube

This smartphone has only slightly rounded corners. The side frames have a minimum width, so the device fits comfortably in the hand. The areas above and below the 6-inch display are retained, but the manufacturer still abandoned the physical and touch keys. In this regard, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the rear panel. And the engineers also decided to opt for a battery with a capacity of up to 3800 mAh. The thickness of the device is 9.4 mm, and the weight is 185 g. In a word, the buyer is waiting for a “strong man” – girls are not recommended to buy this device.

The functionality of the gadget is provided by Android 8.1. The picture is displayed on an IPS-display capable of boasting maximum viewing angles. The 18: 9 aspect ratio is ideal for working with two applications at once – for example, visiting a website while watching a video. Confused only by the resolution of 1440×720 pixels. However, what else did you expect from a smartphone worth about 8 thousand rubles?

The manufacturer saved not only on the screen. A simple one is installed here and the processor is a quad-core MediaTek MT6739, operating at a clock frequency of 1.5 GHz. If you can play with such a chip, then only with reduced graphics settings. Also under the body of the smartphone are 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of permanent memory. In a word, the buyer is waiting for a living minimum, barely providing the operating system with stable operation.

There is a dual camera on the back of the smartphone. But do not rush to rejoice – the second module consists of a matrix with a resolution of 0.3 megapixels, which is unlikely to be of any use. But the main module is not so bad – its sensor has a resolution of 13 megapixels. If you are interested in taking selfies, then an 8-megapixel front camera will come to the rescue.

The Wi-Fi module installed here supports only the 802.11n standard to the maximum. But this is the case when the second range is useless. The product also received Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE. Oddly enough, the manufacturer did not forget about the NFC chip. Perhaps this is one of the cheapest smartphones among endowed with this technology!

Advantages

  • A capacious battery is located under the back cover;
  • There is NFC;
  • Added FM radio;
  • There is a 3.5mm audio jack;
  • Comparatively good front-facing camera
  • The display was created using IPS technology;
  • There is a fingerprint scanner;
  • A fresh version of the OS is installed;
  • Low price.

disadvantages

  • Micro-USB connector is used;
  • Low memory;
  • Weak processor;
  • Low screen resolution;
  • Great weight.

Alcatel 3V 5099D

Rating: 4.4

Alcatel 3V 5099D

For many years, quite good budget smartphones have been produced under the brand Alcatel. One of them got into our rating – we are talking about a model called 3V 5099D. For 7-8 thousand rubles. the buyer receives a device with a 6-inch display, created using IPS technology. Externally, the front panel is nothing interesting – the manufacturer did not even think to get rid of the side frames. The rear panel looks much more curious. It was created from metal shimmering in the light, which immediately sets the device apart from most of the Chinese competitors.

But back to the screen. Its resolution is 2160×1080 pixels. And this is quite unexpected! Not every device in this price segment can boast only a high parameter. Well, the aspect ratio of 18: 9 makes it easy to use two applications at the same time. However, you should not get carried away with this – the processor power MediaTek MT8735 is often not enough to solve such complex tasks. Also, problems can be associated with the fact that there is only 2 GB of RAM. As for the built-in storage, the user is waiting for 2 GB. In a word, the manufacturer had to save on all these components. If you buy Alcatel 3V 5099D, be sure to get a memory card.

It's nice that even such inexpensive smartphones are now equipped with a fingerprint scanner. Here it is located on the back panel. An LED flash and a pair of lenses can be seen directly above it. Inside the dual camera module there are matrices with a resolution of 12 and 2 megapixels. This is enough to create good pictures. In most cases, the background is blurred very well, which is also good news. If you need to shoot yourself, then the front camera is used for this – its resolution is only 5 megapixels.

A 3.5 mm audio jack is used to connect headphones. If you have a wireless accessory, Bluetooth will come to the rescue 4.2. To access the Internet, LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11n modules are used. But the NFC chip is missing here. If you want to pay with your smartphone for purchases like a bank card, then look for a similar model called 3V 5099Y.

The operating system is Android 8.0. Autonomous operation is provided by a 3000 mAh battery. It is recharged by connecting the power adapter to the micro-USB port. Surprisingly, even with such a battery, the device weighs only 155 g.

Advantages

  • Low cost;
  • Low weight;
  • There are three color options;
  • Excellent high resolution IPS display
  • Not the worst rear camera;
  • There is a 3.5mm audio jack;
  • There is a fingerprint scanner.

disadvantages

  • There is no NFC chip;
  • Not the fastest Wi-Fi;
  • The front camera will not suit everyone;
  • Weak processor;
  • Little RAM and permanent memory.

The best phones with the largest screen in terms of price / quality ratio (up to 40 thousand rubles)

Huawei Mate 10 Pro 6 / 128GB Dual Sim

Rating: 4.9

Huawei Mate 10 Pro 6

A little more than five years ago, only those people who were looking for the cheapest smartphone looked at the company's products Huawei. Now this manufacturer is successfully competing with the leaders of this market. For example, his Mate 10 Pro is in consistently high demand, despite the cost, reaching 30 thousand rubles. This smartphone is running Android 8.0. Outwardly, the device is quite different from less expensive smartphones. There is a frameless design here. Even the areas above and below the 6-inch display are quite narrow. Of course, there are no buttons on the front panel, and therefore the fingerprint scanner had to be moved to the area under the rear camera. Not everyone will like the lack of a 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom. But on the other hand, this allowed the manufacturer to easily implement full-fledged water protection – the device received an IP67 certificate. Well, you can still use wired headphones in tandem with this smartphone, you just have to use an adapter for this.

The screen of this model has a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. It is comfortable to place windows of two applications on it. And the Kirin 970 processor copes with this task without any difficulty. It should be noted that the chipset is complemented by the Mali-G72 MP12 graphics accelerator, which can launch absolutely any game. Also, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory are hidden under the body of the gadget. It is difficult to imagine a person who does not have enough volume.

Going back to the display, technology OLED was used to make it. This means that there is no separate highlight layer here. Each pixel on the matrix glows independently. If a picture is shown with an abundance of black colors, then power consumption is noticeably reduced. As a result, with certain tweaks, a full charge of a 4000 mAh battery can be enough for several days of battery life. Of course, there is support for fast charging technology, which is also good news.

The device goes to the Internet via LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Connecting a wireless headset, fitness bracelets and smart watches is carried out through Bluetooth 4.2. There is also an infrared transmitter that allows you to change channels on your TV. The NFC chip has not been forgotten, thanks to which you can use your smartphone in the manner of a bank card.

Nothing bad can be said about the cameras installed here. The front camera uses only one lens, but it is wide-angle. The matrix resolution is 8 megapixels, which is quite enough for a selfie. But the rear camera is dual. The second optical unit is used not for blurring the background, but for twice 'zooming in' the picture, which seems even more important on some travels. Surprisingly, both lenses use an f / 1.6 aperture, which indicates an extremely high aperture. As for the matrices, they have a resolution of 20 and 12 megapixels. The camera also includes laser autofocus and optical stabilization. Of course, with such components, the smartphone copes with 4K video without any difficulty.

Advantages

  • The latest version of the OS is used;
  • Excellent screen created by technology OLED;
  • A wonderful camera with optical zoom;
  • You can shoot 4K video;
  • Good front camera
  • Built-in USB Type-C connector;
  • Infrared transmitter and NFC are present;
  • High-speed wireless modules are used;
  • Installed a powerful processor;
  • Large amount of memory;
  • The fingerprint sensor is not forgotten.

disadvantages

  • Weight is 178g;

    The cost will not suit everyone .;

  • No 3.5mm audio jack.

OnePlus 6 8 / 256GB

Rating: 4.8

OnePlus 6 8 / 256GB

Think 6GB of RAM isn't enough? In this case, OnePlus has prepared for you its next flagship, which includes 8 GB of RAM. Well, for storing videos and music, 256 GB of permanent memory are intended here. It seems that this is enough for absolutely any smartphone owner. You will hardly ever remember that there is no memory card slot here. Even if you regularly shoot 4K video at 60fps. Do you have an external hard drive where you can drop the resulting material from time to time?

Many people buy OnePlus 6 precisely because of the camera. It is double here, and matrices with a resolution of 16 and 20 megapixels are hidden under its lenses. The manufacturer has not forgotten about the optical stabilizer, thanks to which the video is smoother. The aperture in both lenses is used the same – it is set to f / 1.7. If we talk about the front camera, then its resolution is 16 megapixels. Which, however, is also very good.

The smartphone scores more than 289 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark. This insane result is provided by the top-end Snapdragon 845 processor, half of the cores of which are capable of operating at a clock speed of 2.7 GHz. Do I need to say that with such a chipset, you definitely won't need to lower the graphics level in any of the games?

The image is displayed here on a very large display – its diagonal is 6.28 inches. There are 402 pixels for every inch of its area. More importantly, the screen was created using Super technology AMOLED. This indicates a wide color gamut and low power consumption. This is partly why the manufacturer built a battery into his creation, the capacity of which does not exceed 3300 mAh. It is recharged by connecting the power adapter to the USB Type-C connector. It's nice that the Chinese manufacturer hasn't forgotten about the 3.5mm audio jack. However, if you have an expensive wireless headset, then you should not be afraid to use it – support for the aptX digital codec provides sound transmission in almost CD quality. And there is also an NFC chip that speeds up pairing and allows you to use your smartphone as a bank card.

Advantages

  • Huge amount of memory;
  • Great front camera
  • A fresh version of the 'green robot' is installed;
  • Excellent AMOLED – display with an aspect ratio of 19: 9;
  • The dual camera is complemented by optical stabilization;
  • You can shoot videos at 4K resolution and 60 fps;
  • A powerful processor is used;
  • Built-in USB Type-C connector;
  • There is a fingerprint scanner;
  • There is a 3.5mm audio jack;
  • There is an NFC chip.

disadvantages

  • Only one color option;
  • High price;
  • To some, the smartphone may seem too heavy.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 64GB

Rating: 4.8

Samsung Galaxy Note8 64GB

Of course, our rating could not do without one of the flagships of the South Korean company Samsung. Our choice fell on the Galaxy Note 8 due to the fact that its price is gradually decreasing. If at the time of the start of sales they asked for some astronomical amount, now a phablet with a smart stylus can be bought for less than 40 thousand rubles. For this money, you will get a chic device with a 6.3-inch display, the sides of which are smoothly curved. The screen was created using Super technology AMOLED, which makes it easy to achieve increased battery life – all you need to do is activate some dark theme. The display resolution is 2960×1440 pixels. It seems that this will be enough for the vast majority of buyers. Well, the aspect ratio of 18.5: 9 allows you to comfortably place two or even three applications on the screen at once. You can interact with them not only with your finger, but also with the supplied stylus. The multitude of definable pressure gradations will surely be appreciated by artists. The rest of the people should like the function of leaving notes on the off display. By the way, even on an inactive screen, the date and time are displayed – this is another advantage of the technology AMOLED.

This smartphone sounds great. However, if you do not want to embarrass people around with loud music, you can connect headphones. If they are wireless, Bluetooth 5.0 is activated. If you are using a more traditional option, then the 3.5mm audio jack comes to the rescue. Continuing the talk about interfaces, one cannot fail to mention the presence of a high-speed USB Type-C port here. Somewhere else inside the smartphone is a module that can receive data using ANT + wireless technology. This will certainly delight athletes using the appropriate sensors. Finally, Internet access is provided by LTE modules and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The flagship is capable of frequency aggregation, which significantly increases the speed of data reception and transmission. The South Korean manufacturer has not forgotten the NFC chip either.

Of course, many people buy Samsung products for a great camera. This is all right here. South Koreans have introduced a dual module consisting of 12-megapixel matrices here. The focal length of the lenses is different, as a result of which the user has access to 2x optical zoom. And there is also an optical image stabilizer. The aperture of the main module is f / 1.7. This allows you to get decent pictures even in low light conditions. Such a camera is able to record video in 4K-resolution, but only at a frequency of 30 frames / s. As for the 'front camera', it consists of one lens, which hides an 8-megapixel matrix. The main advantage of this module is its wide viewing angle.

Other advantages of a smartphone include the presence of full water protection. Everything is in order here and with the processor – you definitely have enough power. The device also received 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent memory. The manufacturer did not forget about the slot for an external storage (it is combined with a place for a second SIM card). Of course, it has a gadget and a fingerprint sensor. However, some owners of the phablet prefer a new kind of unlocking – by scanning the iris.

Advantages

  • There is a multifunctional stylus;
  • Water protection implemented;
  • Excellent AMOLED – display;
  • The dual camera is complemented by optical zoom;
  • 4K video recording possible;
  • There is a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port;
  • Decent front camera
  • High-speed wireless modules are used;
  • There is support for NFC and ANT +;
  • Large amount of memory;
  • Powerful processor;
  • Fast and wireless charging supported;
  • Fingerprint scanner not forgotten.

disadvantages

  • Weight reaches 195 g;
  • Bluetooth not extended with aptX support;
  • The cost will still not suit everyone.

LG V30 +

Rating: 4.7

LG V30 +

In recent years, smartphones LG are in less demand. However, our rating of large-screen devices could not do without the V30 +. This handsome man has a display with a diagonal of 6 inches. In this case, the screen is capable of boasting rounded corners. The width of the side frames is minimized here, and therefore the gadget does not seem huge. The picture is displayed here with a resolution of 2880×1440 pixels. If individual pixels can be seen, then only under a microscope or at least a magnifying glass. The manufacturing technology is also pleasing – this OLED is a display with minimal power consumption and a wide color gamut. He even knows how to continuously display the date and time. In a word, it is impossible to find fault with the screen.

Has a smartphone and a number of other advantages. For example, the buyer will certainly be pleased with the weight of only 158 g. And this with a metal case and full water resistance! Also, one cannot fail to note high-speed wireless modules – data can be received via LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. To connect a wireless headset, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX support is used. The 3.5mm audio jack has not gone anywhere either, so no adapter is required to connect wired headphones. It should also be noted that there is an NFC chip here that turns a smartphone into a bank card.

The device uses a fingerprint scanner to protect personal information. The South Koreans used the top-end Snapdragon 835 as a processor. Its capabilities are more than enough to run games with the highest graphics level. Also, the device includes 128 GB of permanent and 4 GB of permanent memory. The volume of the latter is perhaps the main drawback of a smartphone.

There is a dual camera on the back of the gadget. Its main lens is capable of boasting an f / 1.6 aperture, thanks to which decent photography is carried out in the evening and at night. The resolution of the matrices used here is 16 and 13 megapixels. The manufacturer has not forgotten about optical stabilization, which is also good news. This camera can easily handle 4K video, but only at 30 frames / s. Well, the front camera has only a 5-megapixel matrix. However, the manufacturer has increased the size of these pixels, in connection with which the front camera has a remarkable aperture.

Advantages

  • There is a separate audio processor;
  • Low weight;
  • Water protection implemented;
  • The display was created using technology OLED;
  • Excellent dual cameras with optical stabilization;
  • You can shoot 4K video;
  • There is a 3.5mm audio jack and a micro-USB port;
  • Built-in high-speed wireless modules;
  • There is an NFC chip;
  • Large amount of permanent memory;
  • Powerful processor;
  • There is support for wireless and fast charging;
  • There is a fingerprint scanner.

disadvantages

  • Not the largest amount of RAM;
  • The location of the power button (on the back) does not seem convenient to everyone.

Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra Dual 32GB

Rating: 4.6

Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra Dual 32GB

Smartphones with large screens are also produced by the Japanese company Sony. Many of them sell for a lot of money. However, there are also exceptions to the rule. A striking example of this is the Xperia XA2 Ultra, which can be purchased for 24-25 thousand rubles. At the same time, the smartphone meets almost all the requirements of a modern consumer.

The device is released in four colors. The release took place relatively recently, so Android 8.0 is installed as the operating system here. The picture is displayed on a 6-inch display, created using IPS technology. The brightness of the backlight is ideal, the image looks good even outdoors, on a clear summer day. The screen resolution is 1920×1080 pixels. Perhaps the Japanese manufacturer saved on this parameter. However, pixelation is invisible to the naked eye, so you shouldn't worry.

Above the display is a dual front camera, which includes 16- and 8-megapixel matrices. The pictures are detailed, problems arise only in low light conditions. The rear camera has an even higher resolution, 23 MP. It's nice that the manufacturer has built in optical stabilization. It is especially useful at a time when it is dark around. It is a pity that the aperture is only open up to f / 2 here.

Under the aluminum casing of the 'Japanese' is a Snapdragon 630 processor. This is a very powerful eight-core chipset, which is enough for most games. It also handles 4K video and high-speed shooting with ease. Somewhere nearby there are 32 GB of permanent and 4 GB of RAM. If the volume of the first is not enough, you can insert an external drive – the corresponding slot is not forgotten here.

As you know, it was the Japanese company Sony that developed the aptX digital codec. Therefore, it should not be surprising that even the relatively inexpensive Xperia XA2 Ultra has support for it. This allows us to hope that the sound on Bluetooth will be transmitted in close to ideal quality. But don't forget that headphones should also have support for the codec. Other wireless modules present here include Wi-Fi, LTE and NFC.

Autonomous operation of this model is provided by a 3580 mAh battery. Of course, fast charging technology is supported. A USB Type-C connector is used to connect the AC adapter. There is also a 3.5 mm 'mini-jack' on the body.

Rating: 4.6

Honor Play 4 / 64GB

Another smartphone in our ranking that has support for the aptX codec. This means that you can use very expensive wireless headphones in tandem with it – you will not notice much deterioration in sound quality. Also, this unit also received the eighth version of the 'green robot'. As for its appearance, there are four color options for the buyer's choice. The front panel of the device is frameless. The Chinese manufacturer has left only a small area under the display. The earpiece speaker is located in the so-called monobrow. There is also a front-facing camera, which includes an f / 2 aperture and a 16-megapixel sensor.

In the AnTuTu benchmark, this smartphone is gaining more than 200 thousand points. This result is provided by the top-end eight-core Kirin 970 processor. It is not difficult for it to process a picture with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, and this is the parameter that a 6.3-inch IPS display can boast of. He can also handle 4K video recording. For this purpose, a rear dual camera is used, under the lenses of which there are matrices with a resolution of 16 and 2 Mp. The camera handles background blur quite well. But in the dark, problems can arise – the manufacturer should open the diaphragm much more.

The gadget includes 64 GB of permanent and 4 GB of RAM. The fingerprint scanner on the rear panel is not forgotten either. The buyer will also be delighted with the presence of an NFC chip. Well, the autonomous work of all the above-mentioned goodness is provided by a battery with a capacity of 3750 mAh.

  • A large number of color options for the metal case.

disadvantages

  • Not everyone will be satisfied with the presence of a monobrow;
  • The screen does not have an oleophobic coating .;
  • Difficulty shooting in low light conditions.

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 4 / 64GB

Rating: 4.5

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 4

Did you think that only one smartphone from Xiaomi entered our rating? No matter how it is! We just have to tell you more about Mi Max 3. This is one of the largest devices in this collection. The front panel of the device houses a display with a diagonal of 6.9 inches. If you think about it, then this is as close to the performance of tablets as possible. Its resolution is 2160×1080 pixels. We can say that this is quite a bit. But for a smartphone worth 16-18 thousand rubles. such a parameter is perfectly acceptable. The screen was created, of course, using IPS technology.

The body of the smartphone is metal. Under it is a 5500 mAh battery. All this led to the fact that the weight of the device reached 221 g. However, some people are able to put up with this – it is much more important for them that they have to use the charger only once every two days. By the way, it is connected via a USB Type-C connector. The manufacturer did not forget about the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.

To access the operating system, you need to scan your fingerprint (if you have chosen this unlocking method). An eight-core Snapdragon 636 is used as a processor, which ensures stable operation of both the OS and third-party applications. In games, the graphics accelerator Adreno 509 is activated. The product also received 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent memory.

Like many other smartphones Xiaomi, the model called Mi Max 3 is equipped with an infrared transmitter that allows you to control your TV and other household appliances. There is also support for LTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. But the NFC chip is missing. Again, as with most other devices from Xiaomi.

It remains to mention the cameras. The front camera is not impressive here – it consists of one lens and an 8-megapixel matrix. The rear camera is dual – it tries to nicely blur the background. The main optical unit is capable of boasting an f / 1.9 aperture, after which light is directed to the 12-megapixel sensor. The matrix resolution in the auxiliary module is 5 megapixels. There is no optical stabilizer or something similar here – there is a strict economy.

Advantages

  • A fresh version of the operating system is installed;
  • Relatively good display with 18: 9 aspect ratio;
  • Decent rear camera being dual;
  • 4K video recording possible;
  • Built-in 3.5mm and USB Type-C connectors;

Honor 8X 4 / 64GB

Rating: 4.5

Honor 8X 4 / 64GB

Another monobrow smartphone in our ranking. The Chinese manufacturer has tried as much as possible to rid his creation of the framework. Here, even the area under the screen has almost completely disappeared! At the same time, the device is much cheaper iPhone X, which was the first to receive a similar design.

The display installed here has a diagonal of 6.5 inches. The manufacturer decided to stretch it as much as possible in height, as a result, the screen is able to please with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. Needless to say, it is very convenient to work with two applications at the same time on such a display? As for the resolution, it is 2340×1080 pixels.

The smartphone can easily run modern games, not to mention some heavy programs. Thanks for this is the eight-core Kirin 710 processor, complemented by the Mali-G51 MP4 graphics accelerator. Also, the device includes 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent memory. The microSD card slot is also not forgotten. Most importantly, it is separate – external storage will not force you to abandon the use of two SIM-cards.

The company Huawei makes a lot of money from the production of telecommunications equipment – for example, cell towers. In this regard, it is not surprising that even such an inexpensive device has received support for almost all high-speed wireless standards. The Chinese have not forgotten about the NFC chip.

The device uses quite good cameras. The rear is double – it includes matrices with a resolution of 20 and 2 megapixels. The main optical module received an aperture of f / 1.8, which allows you to hope for excellent results even when shooting in low light conditions. Negative emotions are caused only by the fact that the gadget is not able to shoot 4K video. As for the front-facing camera, it has a resolution of 16 megapixels.

Advantages

  • There is a 3.5mm audio jack;
  • There is a fingerprint scanner;
  • A fresh version of the OS is installed;
  • Excellent display with high pixel density
  • Solid rear camera;
  • The front camera has a high resolution;
  • Built-in high-speed wireless modules;
  • There is an NFC chip;
  • A powerful processor is used;
  • Large amount of memory;
  • Low cost.

disadvantages

  • Built-in micro-USB port;
  • 4K video is not available;
  • A monobrow can interfere with someone.

The best premium large-screen smartphones

Apple iPhone Xs Max 64GB

Rating: 4.9

Apple iPhone Xs Max 64GB

The most expensive smartphone in this ranking. The Yablochnaya company asks for its creation from 80 to 90 thousand rubles. You can argue as much as you like about whether you need to buy a device for such an amount that will not help you in making money (unlike, for example, a MacBook, which for many people is a working tool). However, there are still buyers for iPhone Xs Max. These people love that this product is equipped with an incredibly powerful processor that can handle absolutely any task. The display also delights. It has no frames on top, sides or bottom. It was made according to the technology AMOLED. This means that the buyer is waiting for a colorful picture and low power consumption. The screen resolution is unlikely to suit anyone – it is 2688×1242 pixels. There are 456 pixels for every inch of this display, which is ideal. By the way, the smartphone turned out to be very large – it will not fit into every pocket. Some people will still say that 6.5 inches is too much.

In the upper area of the display there is a notch, which is becoming traditional, popularly called a monobrow. Special sensors are located here, thanks to which the user's face is recognized. Also, this place is home to the front camera, the resolution of which is 7 megapixels. It's strange that the optics of this camera are by no means wide-angle. In this regard, the smartphone is inferior to the creations of Samsung and LG.

If you turn the gadget upside down, you can see two lenses. Below them are 12-megapixel sensors. Lenses have different focal lengths, which provides the user with 2x optical zoom. Optical stabilization is also implemented here. If we talk about wide-angle optics, then it uses f / 1.8 aperture, which is quite enough for shooting in the evening. It should be noted that this camera can shoot 4K video at 60 frames / s. Not every flagship can boast of this!

To find fault with the rest of the characteristics of the smartphone is also quite difficult. There is an NFC chip here, thanks to which support for Apple Pay is implemented. Also among the wireless modules present are Bluetooth 5.0 (no aptX), Wi-Fi 802.11ac and LTE. There is no fingerprint sensor here, but with the face recognition function, it is probably not needed. Stereo speakers are good news – they are very loud, and in terms of sound quality they are only inferior to their counterparts from much larger devices – for example, iPad Pro. The speed is also just a delight – nothing else from iOS 12 and Apple A12 Bionic was not expected.

However, you don't have to think that this is the perfect smartphone. The device turned out to be too heavy – not everyone will be satisfied with a device weighing 208 g. You should also remember that there is no slot for a microSD card here. We recommend purchasing the 64GB version. But if you are going to regularly shoot 4K video, then it is better to take a closer look at the options with a large amount of internal memory. Finally, some sadness is caused by the lack of a 3.5 mm audio jack – an adapter is required for wired headphones.

Advantages

  • Water protection implemented;
  • Excellent OLED – display;
  • Very good rear camera with optical zoom;
  • 4K video recording at 60 fps is possible;
  • High quality stereo speakers;
  • High speed wireless modules are available;
  • There is support for Apple Pay;
  • Competently implemented face recognition function;
  • Wireless and fast charging supported;
  • Extremely powerful processor.

disadvantages

  • No 3.5mm audio jack;
  • Large weight;
  • Very high cost;
  • Only one SIM card slot;
  • No memory card slot;
  • Comes with a slow network adapter.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 512GB

Rating: 4.8

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 512GB

Another South Korean flagship in our ranking. It is already much more recent – the announcement of this model happened in the summer of 2018. The main difference between this device and its predecessor is the stylus. It now has a built-in battery and Bluetooth a module. This allows it to be used not only for drawing and writing text on the screen, but also as a tiny remote control. As for the display, it has become even larger. Now its diagonal is 6.4 inches. The side edges are rounded, but in a slightly different way – it is assumed that this will make operating the operating system a little more comfortable. The screen resolution is 2960×1440 pixels – Samsung believes that this is enough for almost all buyers. As before, the display is created using technology AMOLED. Therefore, you can count on low power consumption and a constant display of time.

With each new flagship, the South Korean manufacturer is trying to increase the aperture of the built-in camera. Here the aperture has increased to f / 1.5. Only specialized lenses for SLR and system cameras can boast of a larger aperture hole! It should be noted that two optical units are built in here – the second one provides 2x zoom. Both lenses hide 12-megapixel sensors. It also has optical stabilization and support for 4K video recording at 60 frames / s. In a word, it is not easy that this phablet is often bought precisely because of its rear camera.

Otherwise, this is a typical South Korean flagship. There is support for all useful and not very wireless standards. The smartphone even recognizes signals from medical sensors using ANT + technology. Of course, NFC has not been forgotten, with the help of which a smartphone can replace a bank card. 512 GB of permanent memory should also please, which will be enough to store a mass of all kinds of videos, musical compositions and photographs. The device also includes a top-end eight-core processor and 8 GB of RAM.

All this stuff is provided by a 4000 mAh battery. Its full charge is usually enough for two days of using the smartphone. And it is the battery that is to blame for the fact that the device weighs 201 g. Another drawback of this model is the excessively high cost – not every reader agrees to pay 80 thousand rubles for such a device.

Advantages

  • The latest version of the OS is used;
  • Full water protection has been implemented;
  • Excellent AMOLED – display;
  • The stylus has become even more functional;
  • Great dual camera;
  • High frame rate 4K video recording possible;
  • Decent front camera
  • High speed wireless standards are supported;
  • There is an NFC chip;
  • Very large amount of memory;
  • Powerful processor;
  • There is a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port;
  • There are fingerprint and iris scanners;
  • High battery capacity.

disadvantages

  • The weight is too heavy;
  • Astronomical price tag.

Huawei Mate 20 6 / 128GB

Rating: 4.7

Huawei Mate 20 6 / 128GB

Have you heard of Android 9.0? Not? And this version of the “green robot” has already begun to receive some smartphones. In particular, under the control of this particular operating system, Mate 20, which got into our rating Huawei, is running. This is a rather expensive device, but you will definitely not be disappointed in buying it. It has 128 GB of permanent memory at its disposal, which is enough for a large number of photos, music, and even videos. The product also received 6 GB of RAM, which is also more than sufficient volume.

The device differs the most from its competitors by its screen. Instead of a large monobrow, it uses an elegant cutout that houses only the front camera. There are areas above and below the display, but they are very thin. In a word, the smartphone can be safely called frameless. Still a little bit and the screen would occupy absolutely the entire area of the front panel! As for its characteristics, IPS technology was used to manufacture the display. With a 6.53-inch diagonal, the resolution is 2244×1080 pixels. The aspect ratio is ideal for working with two applications at the same time.

Such an expensive smartphone could not help but get a lot of all kinds of wireless modules. Someone may lack only ANT + support. The rest of the technologies are fully supported by the device – these are Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and LTE, and NFC. The smartphone also includes a triple camera. She knows how to bring the picture closer (2x optical zoom) and blur the background. The main lens has OIS and f / 1.8 aperture, which should help you create the perfect photos. The camera is also capable of 4K video recording, but only at 30 frames / s. The front camera is also a delight. Yes, it contains only one lens, but a 24-megapixel matrix is hidden under it!

Advantages

  • There are color options with a chameleon effect;
  • The screen covers almost the entire front panel;
  • Capacious battery with very fast charging;
  • Built-in high-speed wireless modules;
  • The most recent version is used Android;
  • Excellent triple camera;
  • 4K video recording possible;
  • There is an NFC chip;
  • Very powerful processor;
  • Large amount of memory;
  • There is a fingerprint scanner.

disadvantages

  • The smartphone turned out to be heavy;
  • The screen is not made using technology AMOLED;
  • Moisture protection only according to the IP53 standard.

Conclusion

Now you know which big screen smartphones are considered the best. Then you just have to decide on the amount that you are willing to spend. Our rating told you about products Xiaomi, and a little more expensive OnePlus devices, and about flagships from Apple and Samsung. And do not forget that not all smartphones with the same display diagonal have the same dimensions – the dimensions are influenced by the aspect ratio and the thickness of the side frames.
