Not everyone needs an expensive smartphone with powerful components. The most popular are those models that are sold for very little money. The demand for devices, the cost of which does not exceed 5,000 rubles, is amazing. High reliability is not required from such devices, since after a year you can buy some new model. Nevertheless, it cannot be said that buyers do not expect serious opportunities from such a device at all. In this article, we will tell you about which devices will exactly satisfy all the requirements.

Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini Prime (2016)

Rating: 4.9

Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini Prime (2016)

South Korean company Samsung is trying not to produce budget smartphones. At one time, she even announced plans to equip absolutely all of her devices AMOLED with a screen in the future. However, exceptions to the rule still remain. One of them is the Galaxy J1 Mini Prime (2016). This is a tiny device by modern standards, on the front panel of which there is a simple TFT-display with a 4-inch diagonal and a resolution of 800×480 pixels. The buyer is not waiting for the best viewing angles, but he will pay only about 5 thousand rubles. The device also offers two slots for SIM-cards, which allows you to combine tariffs from different operators.

The smartphone, which weighs 126 g, could not get a lot of all kinds of components. Instead, it is limited to only the most essential components. For example, its rear camera has a 5MP resolution. I don’t want to remember about the front-facing camera – its module has only VGA-resolution (0.3 Mp). Under the body of the device, there are 8 GB of permanent and 1 GB of RAM. Of course, this will not be enough, so it is recommended to stock up on a microSD card. A capacious battery could not fit in such a light smartphone. Nevertheless, the 1500 mAh battery shows itself from the best side – you will have to use the charger no more than once a day. At least in the first six months of using the device and before installing additional applications.

Now it is no longer surprising that even such an inexpensive smartphone received an LTE module at its disposal. It is partly because of this that he got a place in our ranking. The South Korean manufacturer could not have done otherwise – otherwise it would have been a blow to the image. Therefore, he did not save on some other components – the smartphone is not devoid of light and proximity sensors, Bluetooth 4.0 and a GPS chip with GLONASS support. In short, you may well consider buying this device. However, keep reading this article, as other manufacturers are able to offer slightly more advanced smartphones for the same money.

  • There are light and proximity sensors;

  • There is an FM radio;

  • There are at least two color options on sale;

  • GPS navigation is available without heavy slowdowns;

  • There is support for LTE networks;

  • No problem with possible repairs;

  • Built-in two slots for SIM-cards;

  • Not the weakest processor – its frequency reaches 1500 mAh;

disadvantages

  • Very modest memory size;

  • A large amount of pre-installed garbage;

  • The Wi-Fi module has too high power consumption;

  • The battery loses its capacity quickly enough;

  • The screen was created using outdated technology;

LG K3 LTE K100DS

Rating: 4.8

LG K3 LTE K100DS

Our rating could not do without a smartphone from LG. At one time, this company released the Nexus 4, on the basis of which a variety of budget devices were then produced. In particular, the well-known prototype is guessed in the appearance LG of K3 LTE K100DS. This device also has a rounded shape, and it turned out to be very similar in size. This is the same compact gadget with a 4.5-inch screen on the front panel. Importantly, the smartphone received an LTE module, which the device released for Google could not boast of. But this does not mean that the product has not received a number of simplifications. The display installed here was created using TFT technology, and therefore you need to prepare for not the widest viewing angles. The back cover, made of ordinary plastic (the prototype had an unusual glass panel), will also cause some disappointment. The main camera, which has only a 5-megapixel resolution, has also been simplified.

As befits modern budget smartphones, the device offers two SIM card slots. As for the display resolution, it is 854×480 pixels – this is a typical parameter for the devices included in our rating. The product also has a wireless module Bluetooth 4.1. But the manufacturer saved on light and proximity sensors. The device is not devoid of GPS, but it does not have GLONASS support, and therefore the navigation process will not be the fastest and most convenient. The processor, which is used as a quad-core chip MediaTek MT6737 with a clock frequency of 1.1 GHz, also causes confusion. The amount of memory installed here is similar to it – 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of constant.

Advantages

  • Great appearance;

  • The smartphone is very lightweight;

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;

  • The battery capacity is 1940 mAh;

  • There is support for LTE networks;

disadvantages

  • Very modest memory size;

  • The display does not have the widest viewing angles;

  • Very weak processor;

  • The simplest camera without autofocus is built in;

Huawei Y3 U03

Rating: 4.8

Huawei Y3 U03

A Chinese company Huawei is now considered an elite manufacturer. She, too, is no longer with her hands to create very cheap smartphones. However, in its assortment, you can find several old devices that are still on sale. For example, at 5000-5500 rubles is now estimated Huawei Y3 U03. This device operates under control Android 4.4, which imposes some restrictions on the user – you will have to do without applications that will consider this version outdated. Nevertheless, the device got into our rating. And this means that he still has some advantages.

The product has two slots for SIM-cards, which opens up some possibilities for combining tariffs of different operators. On the front side of the device is a 4-inch display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. This makes the device tiny – nowadays such smartphones are extremely rare. However, this is also a disadvantage, because on such a small display it is difficult to type text. And it will be possible to communicate in instant messengers by voice only in the Wi-Fi coverage area, since there is no LTE support here. But even more upsetting is the amount of memory – 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of ROM are built in here. Against this background, a good battery life practically does not help. Perhaps we recommend this device for purchase only if the rest of the smartphones considered in this rating are not available for some reason.

Advantages

  • Weight does not exceed 120 g;

  • The memory card slot is separate from the SIM card slots;

  • The front camera has a resolution of 2 megapixels;

  • There is an FM radio;

  • Built-in two slots for SIM-cards;

disadvantages

  • There is no LTE support;

  • Memory critical by modern standards;

  • Screen with not the widest viewing angles;

  • Outdated version of the operating system;

Alcatel PIXI 4 (6) 8050D

Rating: 4.7

Alcatel PIXI 4 (6) 8050D

One of the largest smartphones in our ranking. There is a 6-inch display on its front panel. This is already close to the performance of compact tablets! It is a pity that the display resolution is rather low – it is 960×540 pixels. If you've regularly used more expensive devices, you'll definitely notice pixelation. But this screen was created using IPS technology. This means that the buyer is waiting for the maximum viewing angles, which is good news. The operating system handles information here Android 5.1. The capabilities of the processor MediaTek MT8321 with a clock frequency of 1.3 GHz are quite enough for it – it could not be otherwise with such a display resolution.

The rear and front cameras should pleasantly surprise the buyer. They have a resolution of 8 and 5 megapixels, respectively. Also, everything is in order for the device with a battery – its capacity is 2580 mAh, the smartphone will have to be charged no more often than once a day (although there are instances on the market that require more frequent connection of the network adapter). Proximity and light sensors are located above the display – as you may have noticed, they usually save on them in the production of a budget smartphone.

Of course, Alcatel PIXI 4 (6) 8050D is by no means ideal. The device is quite heavy – its weight reaches 179 g. But the main drawback of the device is the absence of an LTE module. This means that you will have to rely on fast Internet only in the Wi-Fi coverage area.

Advantages

  • Decent cameras;

  • High-quality assembly;

  • The display is based on IPS technology;

  • There is an FM radio;

  • There is a separate slot for a memory card;

  • Built-in two slots for SIM-cards;

disadvantages

  • No support for LTE networks;

  • Quiet speaker;

  • Strange behavior when an incoming call;

  • Little RAM and permanent memory;

Fly FS521 Power Plus 1

Rating: 4.7

Fly FS521 Power Plus 1

Fly products are in high demand in Russia. Basically, the choice of buyers falls on ultra-budget devices, the cost of which does not exceed 5,500 rubles, and this is the price tag that the Fly FS521 Power Plus 1 can boast of. As a result, the device got a 3950 mAh battery at its disposal. This is a rarity for the representatives of our rating! With the operating system Android 7.0, such a battery allows the smartphone to work on a full charge for at least a day and a half.

But this model is not good for the battery alone. Its owners only speak positively about the screen. It has a 5-inch diagonal and full HD resolution. This alone causes wild delight, with such and such a price tag. Also, the display is capable of boasting wide viewing angles, which not all smartphones with a price of 5500 rubles can also boast of.

It is easy to guess that the device has two slots for SIM-cards. Importantly, this model supports LTE networks, so the buyer will definitely not have any complaints about the data transfer rate. Also, the device includes a relatively good rear camera, the module of which has an 8-megapixel resolution. With the help of such a camera, you can even shoot HD video, albeit by far not in the best quality. If we talk about the front-end, then it is not able to boast of anything interesting – its module has a resolution of 2 megapixels. It can be seen that the manufacturer saved on this component.

In the case of this device, you can only complain about the amount of memory. 8 GB of permanent and 1 GB of RAM is the absolute minimum by modern standards.

Advantages

  • There is a capacious battery;

  • Work in LTE networks is possible;

  • The latest version of the operating system is used;

  • There is a fingerprint scanner;

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;

  • The screen resolution is 1280×720 pixels;

  • The display has decent viewing angles;

  • Good rear camera built in;

disadvantages

  • The smartphone turned out to be weighty;

  • The device gets very hot;

  • No proximity and light sensors;

  • Very little memory, which leads to serious slowdowns;

SENSEIT T250

Rating: 4.6

SENSEIT T250

Smartphone, the cost of which is somewhere between five and six thousand rubles. It cannot be called small, but the 5.2-inch screen does not make a large device either. Nevertheless, the weight of the device reaches a pretty decent 185 g. Not least of all, this parameter was influenced by the battery, the capacity of which is 3000 mAh.

This device is worth its money, if only because of the presence of a fingerprint sensor. This is not to say that it works with lightning speed, but for the budget class, the speed of work seems to be quite acceptable. Also, the gadget includes two slots for SIM cards and an LTE module, as a result of which the user will have access to fast Internet. Everything is in order here and with the navigation part – GPS is supplemented with GLONASS support. Nothing bad can be said about 8 and 5 megapixel cameras. As for the display, it has an HD resolution. It is made using IPS technology, so the viewing angles are almost maximum.

The manufacturer saved only on the processor and memory. And if you can put up with MediaTek MT6737, then 8 GB of ROM will force the user to tighten the belt tighter – it will definitely not work to install a large number of applications here. However, budget smartphones are usually bought for calls and correspondence, nothing more. And the device from SENSEIT copes with these tasks without any problems.

Advantages

  • Two color options to choose from;

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;

  • The built-in cameras are not the worst;

  • There is a fingerprint sensor;

  • High enough battery capacity;

  • Supports LTE data transmission;

  • A good 720p display is used;

  • There is an FM radio;

disadvantages

  • The smartphone turned out to be heavy;

  • It is not possible to buy at an adequate price everywhere;

  • Built-in small amount of memory;

  • Weak processor;

ZTE Blade A330

Rating: 4.6

ZTE Blade A330

One of the few smartphones in our ranking that operates under Android 7.1. Also, the device differs in that it will very soon disappear from store shelves (this is due to the interruption of production due to the actions of the US government). Nevertheless, while it is possible to buy a device, sellers ask for a little over five thousand rubles for it. Of course, such a cheap smartphone could not get the perfect design. If you start with its shortcomings, then the display immediately comes to mind – it is made using TN technology, which indicates rather narrow viewing angles. And the resolution is not impressive – it is 854×480 pixels. Another disadvantage of the device is the rear camera, which takes pictures using a very modest 5 megapixel sensor.

Oddly enough, this is where the list of significant shortcomings ends. If you agree to put up with a simple display, then the rest of the device parameters may please you. For example, the buyer should be satisfied with two SIM card slots and LTE support. Some surprise is caused by the permanent memory, the volume of which is 16 GB. This is quite an adequate parameter, obviously not all owners of ZTE Blade A330 will need a memory card. Everything is fine here with the GPS chip, the high speed and excellent accuracy of which are due to the support of GLONASS satellites. Finally, nothing bad can be said about the battery, the capacity of which has been increased to 4000 mAh. FM radio can be considered a nice bonus. Video calls are provided by the front camera – its resolution is 2 megapixels. In a word, the device turned out to be very good!

Advantages

  • Fresh version Android;

  • There is an FM radio;

  • Decent amount of permanent memory;

  • High battery capacity;

  • There are light and proximity sensors;

  • GPS navigation works without any problems;

  • Implemented support for LTE;

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;

disadvantages

  • Very weak cameras;

  • It is found on sale less and less;

  • Built-in only 1 GB of RAM;

  • Poor LCD display

Lenovo Vibe B

Rating: 4.6

Lenovo Vibe B

One of the cheapest smartphones in our ranking. For this model in Russian stores they ask for only 4000 rubles. For that kind of money, the buyer will receive a tiny device by modern standards. Its LCD has a diagonal of 4.5 inches and a resolution of 854×480 pixels. It was created using TFT technology, so you don't need to rely on wide viewing angles. However, this should not be surprising – when creating budget smartphones, manufacturers often save on the screen. But the Chinese company decided to provide their creation with good communication means. Two SIM cards can be inserted here, using one of them to access the Internet via LTE networks. Also the product has Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. There is also a GPS chip, but its work is far from ideal.

When launching the navigation application, one feels that the smartphone is sorely lacking in computing power. Indeed, under its body there is a very weak MT6735M by modern standards MediaTek. It is a quad-core chip with a clock speed of less than 1 GHz. And there is very little memory in this gadget – 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.

However, if you use the device as a regular 'dialer', then problems will not arise too often. Even such a chipset is quite enough for processing images with a low resolution. This device weighs about 144 g. This alone suggests that under the back cover is not the most capacious battery. As for the operating system, Android 6.0 is used here.

Advantages

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;

  • A separate slot for a memory card is used;

  • The smartphone is much cheaper than competitors;

  • Added FM radio;

  • There is support for LTE networks;

  • Very light weight;

disadvantages

  • Simplest LCD display;

  • The battery could be more capacious;

  • Very small amount of memory;

  • Built-in low-power processor;

  • Weak cameras;

BQ BQ – 5058 Strike Power Easy

Rating: 4.5

BQ BQ - 5058 Strike Power Easy

This smartphone is sold for about 5800 rubles. Like the rest of the devices considered in this rating, it has rather modest components. The only exception is the battery – it has an impressive capacity of up to 5000 mAh. Also, the buyer should be pleased with the latest version of the operating system – it is used here Android 7.0. Not forgotten by the manufacturer and two slots for SIM-cards. But, unfortunately, it is only offered to use the Internet via 3G. If you want a faster data transfer rate, you will have to rely on Wi-Fi.

Otherwise, this is a typical cheap device, devoid of even light and proximity sensors, not to mention a fingerprint scanner. The gadget includes 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of permanent memory. The picture is displayed on a 5-inch display with a resolution of 854×480 pixels. I am glad that it was created using IPS technology, so the buyer will definitely not have any special complaints about viewing angles. The product also has an 8-megapixel rear camera. Its quality is far from ideal, but even a very bad camera cannot be called a language. The work of this model is provided by the processor MediaTek MT6580M, the clock frequency of which is capable of reaching 1.3 GHz.

Advantages

  • There is an FM radio;

  • Cameras have a resolution of 8 and 5 megapixels;

  • Fresh version Android;

  • Very high battery capacity;

  • Built-in two slots for SIM-cards;

  • The display pleases with wide viewing angles;

disadvantages

  • Low screen resolution;

  • The camera is not capable of macro photography;

  • There is no support for LTE networks;

  • The weight of the device reaches 187 g;

  • No proximity and light sensors;

  • Built-in minimum memory size;

Fly FS522 Cirrus 14

Rating: 4.5

Fly FS522 Cirrus 14

This is the second smartphone from Fly in our ranking. This device is usually sold for 6500 rubles. However, during all sorts of sales, the buyer can keep within 5,000 rubles. It should be noted that this is already a device of a completely different level. On its front panel there is a 5-inch IPS-display with a resolution Full HD. The pixel density has a value of 441 PPI – until recently, not every flagship could boast of this! But wide viewing angles and great detail are not the only advantages of the smartphone. The buyer should also like the rear camera. It has a 13-megapixel resolution, and if necessary, such a camera can easily shoot Full HD videos. Of course, in terms of the quality of shooting, this camera is still inferior to analogs built into two or three times more expensive devices. But don't forget how cheap the Fly FS522 Cirrus 14 is! As for the front camera, nothing bad can be said about it – it uses a 5-megapixel matrix.

If we talk about built-in communications, then the smartphone allows you to transfer data via LTE networks. It also includes modules Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi. The work of this good is provided by the processor MediaTek MT6737T. This is already a fairly powerful solution, the clock frequency of which is capable of reaching the 1.5 GHz mark. But most of all, the buyer should be pleased with the amount of memory: 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage – this is rare in such inexpensive smartphones. It is a pity that the microSD slot is combined with the slot for the second SIM-card – you will have to make a difficult choice.

This model includes light and proximity sensors. There is no fingerprint scanner, which is not surprising. Another disadvantage could be the battery, the capacity of which does not exceed 2400 mAh. But this parameter is quite enough for a stable one day of battery life, you shouldn't worry.

Advantages

  • The weight of the smartphone does not exceed 128 g;

  • The latest version of the operating system;

  • Proximity and illumination sensors are not forgotten;

  • Large amount of memory by the standards of budget smartphones;

  • Good processor;

  • There is an FM radio;

  • Good enough cameras;

  • There is support for LTE networks;

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;

  • The display has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels;

  • Maximum viewing angles;

disadvantages

  • Not the largest battery capacity;

  • Slippery body;

  • Strong heating is possible under load;

ASUS ZenFone Go ZB452KG

Rating: 4.5

ASUS ZenFone Go ZB452KG

Another smartphone in our ranking, the cost of which does not exceed 5,000 rubles. When creating it, the Taiwanese manufacturer relied on compact dimensions. This is not to say that the device is thin. But it is quite possible to call him small – he certainly will not take up much space in his pocket. To reduce the size, engineers had to limit themselves to a 4.5-inch display, which is a critical diagonal in order to keep typing comfortable. But even sadder is the fact that the manufacturer has built in a battery with a capacity of only 2070 mAh. If you use the device mercilessly, then you will need to connect the charger by the evening. Especially with the operating system used here Android 5.1, which is by no means energy efficient.

The smartphone turned out to be not only small, but also light – its weight does not exceed 125 g. At the same time, the product is endowed with a modern IPS-display with wide viewing angles. One can only regret the resolution – it is 854×480 pixels. But on the other hand, the processor does not have to strain to process such a picture. Interestingly, the chipset is based on Qualcomm's MSM8212 solution. Although the technical specifications of this tablet do not stand out – they include four cores and a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. In games, the graphics accelerator Adreno 302 is activated. The amount of memory does not cause enthusiastic feelings either – the buyer is waiting for 8 GB of ROM and 1 GB of RAM.

Alas, this device is not capable of transmitting data over LTE networks. But he has at his disposal a high-quality navigation chip that recognizes signals from both GPS satellites and the GLONASS system. Moreover, the product is endowed with a digital compass, thanks to which the user's 'gaze' direction will be displayed on the map. Otherwise, this is a typical inexpensive smartphone with rather weak cameras.

Advantages

  • There are proximity and light sensors;

  • The memory card slot is separate;

  • There is an FM radio;

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;

  • Very light weight;

  • The screen was created using IPS technology;

  • Good navigation capabilities;

disadvantages

  • Cameras are very low resolution;

  • Not the longest battery life;

  • The display is not capable of boasting high resolution;

  • No LTE module;

  • Low memory;

Digma Vox S502 3G

Rating: 4.4

Digma Vox S502 3G

Another device in our rating that does not support LTE networks. Already by its name it is clear that data transmission using 3G technology will be available to the maximum buyer. If you want to get a higher speed of the Internet connection, you will have to find a Wi-Fi coverage area.

Interestingly, the device has a 5.5-inch screen, which can be called conditionally frameless. In fact, the frames are present – just visually they can be seen far from immediately, especially when viewed from afar. The display was created using IPS technology, which guarantees excellent viewing angles. The resolution did not disappoint either – it is 1280×720 pixels. The image is processed by the processor MediaTek MT6580, which is a familiar guest in budget devices. The battery is also optimal, with a capacity of 2700 mAh.

Alas, the device is recommended for purchase only if nothing better can be purchased for this money. And the point is not even the camera, which at 8-megapixel resolution does not cause any particular complaints. And not in the absence of LTE support, which can be forgiven. And not even in the navigation chip, which is far from working in the best way. And definitely not in the operating system, which is used as Android 5.1. The problem is the amount of memory. If 1 GB of RAM is normal, then 4 GB of permanent memory is unlikely to suit the modern consumer. Almost immediately, the buyer will be faced with a lack of space to install additional applications. A separate slot for a microSD card in this case almost does not help, because not all programs support moving to an external drive.

Advantages

  • The screen has wide viewing angles;

  • There is a light sensor;

  • The memory card slot is separate;

  • Not the worst rear camera;

  • The weight of the device does not exceed 138 g;

  • Built-in two slots for SIM-cards;

  • There is an FM radio;

  • The display resolution is 1280×720 pixels;

disadvantages

  • Very little permanent memory;

  • No LTE support.

Prestigio Muze X5 LTE

Rating: 4.4

Prestigio Muze X5 LTE

If you want to get for 5000 rubles. device with support for LTE networks, we recommend paying attention to Prestigio Muze X5. This is one of the few gadgets in our rating that runs Android 7.0 – a very recent version of this operating system. The picture is displayed here on a 5-inch screen with HD-resolution. The display was created using IPS technology, so problems with viewing angles are not expected. Returning to the wireless modules, one cannot fail to mention the presence of Bluetooth 4.0 – it allows you to easily hook any headset. There is also an FM radio – an indispensable attribute for a budget smartphone.

A simple 8-megapixel camera is intended for photo and video shooting. The resolution of the front camera is even smaller – only 2 megapixels. You can also note the presence of two slots for SIM-cards, which allows you to use the services of a couple of different operators.

Unfortunately, the rest of the device's specs are not impressive. The buyer is waiting for a standard amount of memory for such cheap gadgets. The clock speed of the installed processor does not exceed 1300 MHz, which is also quite expected. The battery capacity is 2400 mAh, which is also far from a record figure. The manufacturer completely forgot about light and proximity sensors, not to mention the fingerprint scanner.

Advantages

  • Implemented support for LTE;

  • Two color options available;

  • Added FM radio;

  • The microSD slot is separate;

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;

  • A fresh version of the operating system is installed;

disadvantages

  • The smartphone is not lightweight;

  • No light and proximity sensors;

  • Very little memory;

Alcatel U5 3G 4047D

Rating: 4.3

Alcatel U5 3G 4047D

The second and last smartphone from Alcatel in this ranking. A model called U5 3G 4047D is sold for about 4000 rubles. This, like the name, hints that there is no need to expect data transfer capabilities from the device over LTE networks. That is, only 3G and Wi-Fi will be available to the user. The rest of the device's characteristics are also not encouraging. Especially if you have previously used more expensive devices.

On the front panel of the gadget there is a simple screen with a 5-inch diagonal and a resolution of 854×480 pixels. The body of the product is made, as you might guess, of plastic. The weight of the device is 164 g. It seems that such a weighty smartphone has a capacious battery. But in fact, this is not so – inside there is a standard 2050 mAh battery. The device also includes the traditional 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of permanent memory. The processor installed here can also be considered standard – it is MediaTek MT6580M. As for the rear and front cameras, their resolution is 5 and 2 megapixels, respectively.

Advantages

  • There is a light indicator of events;

  • There is an FM radio;

  • Very low cost;

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;

disadvantages

  • Installed the simplest cameras;

  • No proximity and light sensors;

  • Not very long battery life;

  • Low memory;

  • The screen is far from being the best;

Conclusion

Now you know that very cheap smartphones can be very smart too. It seems that you are unlikely to be disappointed with the purchase of any of the devices considered in this rating. But, of course, you should not expect the capabilities of the flagship from it – it is not without reason that the device has a significantly lower price tag.
