The bezel is home to a 5.7-inch IPS display with a resolution Full HD. The pixel density turned out to be quite high, albeit not a record one. With a device cost of 22-23 thousand rubles. hardly anyone would complain about such a parameter. A lone front camera lens can be found above the screen. When designing this smartphone, the manufacturer tried to save money. In this regard, the dual camera used here is not too happy. Matrices with a resolution of 12 and 5 megapixels are placed under the lenses. There is no question of any optical zoom here. But the background blur is also not the best way – the system regularly makes mistakes in determining the boundaries of the shooting object. The aperture also cannot be called ideal – it is only opened up to f / 1.9. I am glad that at least the front camera is not so bad here – it has a 13-megapixel resolution.

What you can't find fault with is the set of wireless interfaces. Most of all, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0 will come in handy. Someone will also use an infrared transmitter – it is needed to control a TV or speaker system. Only the lack of NFC is a little upsetting – we are already used to the fact that this chip often appears in products Xiaomi.

Everything is fine with a smartphone and with a processor. The Snapdragon 636 octa-core chipset is enough to solve absolutely any task, including running heavy games. It is unlikely that anyone will make claims to the amount of memory installed here. In a word, the Chinese have again got an excellent gadget, and even with an attractive price tag!

The flip side of this medal is the fact that the Snapdragon 625 processor does not have to strain in order to process a picture with this resolution. The eight-core chipset is enough for the eyes, the system literally flies! Also, the manufacturer did not have to build in a capacious battery here, since 3080 mAh is quite enough to provide a day of autonomous work. As a result, the weight of the device was 170 g, which is acceptable for such and such sizes.

Many potential buyers of Xiaomi Redmi S2 are interested in which camera is installed in it. Additionally, on the front panel, you can find an event indicator light that is gradually disappearing from modern smartphones. There is also a front-facing camera. Alas, it only has a 5-megapixel resolution, so it is unlikely to be used often. But there are no complaints about the rear camera. It is double, while the lenses have different focal lengths, which allows you to use 2x optical zoom at any time. The resolution of both sensors is 12 megapixels. Confused only by the aperture, the value of which is only f / 2.2.

Otherwise, this is a typical smartphone from Xiaomi, sold for not the most money. However, it is quite unexpected to see support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac in such a device. And the Snapdragon 625 processor is not yet received by every Chinese device. But no smartphone Xiaomi can do without a fingerprint scanner, unless it belongs to the ultra-budget segment.

As for the main camera, its resolution is 13 megapixels. When shooting video, the maximum user can count on the 1080p format at 30 frames / s.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is that rare case where a solution from MediaTek was used as a processor. The flagship Helio X20 with ten cores is more than enough to run any program or game. Nothing bad can be said about the amount of built-in memory here. You can only regret that the microSD slot is combined with the slot for the second SIM card.

Wireless modules available here include LTE-A Cat.6, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.1. The manufacturer has not forgotten the infrared port, which turns the smartphone into a remote control. Nothing bad can be said about the navigation chip – it works with American, Russian and Chinese satellites. Only the missing NFC is a little upsetting – it would have allowed the device to also pay for purchases. But on the other hand, the fingerprint scanner, which protects confidential information, has not gone anywhere.
